Well done Team Talking Horses and to Captain jinnyj for leading them into a close run battle at the end you played a blinder.

Many thanks to Diamond Geezer for all his hard work running this again and of course to Nathan.. the weather made it a tricky meeting to find winners so well done to all who did.
Look forward to doing it all again next year…
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 19, 2019 at 17:28 #1470915That was one tough Ascot today, but congratulations to Talkinghorses who took an early
lead and didn’t let it go. Many thanks to Diamond Geezer for running this, and to our captain
Jac who tried to keep our spirits up when it was going a bit pear shaped. See you all again next
year when we’ll try and wrestle the cup back after holding on to it for the past 3 years
October 19, 2019 at 20:17 #1470930Really had luck with my selections. First time with this comp and I was worried I’d let the team down, as I’m more into National Hunt racing than Flat.
It was a real exciting race between Kew Gardens and Stradivarius and that was just following by text on my Racing Post app on my smartphone, but already having an Ante Post bet on Kew Gardens he had to be my selection in that race. Magical would have been another but unsure earlier which race he was going for.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.October 19, 2019 at 22:10 #1470943Well done the Talking Horses team. Thanks DG, Nathan, Captains and all players. This one is good fun.
October 20, 2019 at 07:07 #1470963Well done TalkingHorses 🏆 many thanks DG and Nathan for organising the competition 👍
October 20, 2019 at 10:33 #1470970Sorry folks. Really not my day yesterday (if only Libresa Breeze had been withdrawn, leaving Donjuan Triumphant as my nap!). Well done Talking Horses & thanks to DG, Nathan & Jac for organising. Next year….
October 20, 2019 at 10:49 #1470972Thanks for all the gratitudes folks, as regards the competition if just one result had gone the other way you would have been the winners again as the overall count was 4 wins to TH, 3 wins to TRF and 5 draws. Will link this thread to our board for our team to read.
Regards
DGOctober 21, 2019 at 09:19 #1472194Congratulations to the TH team.
I’m very sorry to the TRF team for my selections, they weren’t good at all.
Thank you to Nathan and Diamond Geezer for the effort involved in this one.
Diamond Geezer, best wishes to your wife and family.
October 22, 2019 at 16:28 #1472335I’m sorry that I missed it this year Nathan, but I don’t think that I would have made a big difference to the fortune of TRF.
I hope your wife is on the mend soon Diamond Geezer.
