I see Jedburgh trainer Andrew Crow has been warned off for 7 years by the BHA for forging passport entries regarding vaccinations for his horses. Didn’t Kahlil Burke get the heave-ho for the same offence a while back?
July 30, 2010 at 12:36 #309944Yes although he was only warned off for 3 years.
What sort of advantage do you get by not getting horses vaccinated? Just the money saved on the injections and still charging the owner for them? Seems a bit of a scabby thing to do.
July 30, 2010 at 12:47 #309950Indeed – Andrew Crow should be aware of what would happen to British racing where we to get a case of Equine Influenza.
Only need to look at what happened in NSW, Australia to see why this is such a serious offense.

All the more stupid when one consider that Mr Crow trains in the Scottish Borders – an area with a large enough horse / training population that an outbreak of EI in the locality would wreak absolute merry hell. For broadly similar reasons, wasn’t this one of the last places in the country to get the all-clear from foot and mouth in 2001 (albeit not the very last, as that was neighbouring Northumberland)?
