As I posted on 24 Feb Mark uses a bank of 2,500 he bets until the bank and the profits are lost and re starts the following day.

At present he has enough funds to go until 12 races the problem of course is will he get 10k on anywhere on a 2/1 shot except on betfair (wbx and betdaq are also out most of the time).

However saying that some guy well known as a winning punter was allowed 3k yesterday in cash in a Brighton William Hills shop on Brave Mave in the last at Lingfield at the early price of 28/1.

As Artemis rightly stated if someone had started last Sunday they would have been wiped out that day, but to be fair to Mark he started on Jan 1st which is the ideal date and I discounted the profits he had made before that date.

So it is a red herring to throw some date such as 12 October in where it may have gone wrong because it did not. The date of Jan 1st as a start date was the one I used and it could also have failed that day!
Just being fair to Mark and his system.

Also he has made an overall profit every month since I have been listing his results so if one had re started on the 1st day of every month they would have seen a return on the investments.

The first 289 days racing this year produced these set of figures.
The sole fav won the 1st race of the day 103 times a s/r of 35.6% which is very close to the original set of figures Mark based this method on.
The fav won the 2nd race 69 times a 23.8% s/r
The fav won the 3rd race of the day 43 imes a 14.8% of the time.

Combined they won one of the first 3 races of the day 74.3% of the time again which is very close to the set of results on which he based this all on.
On the first 289 days the fav was evens or odds against on 148 occasions. Which is just over half the time (51.2%).

Although the period of time is not that great it does go along with the stats written years ago again which he based it on.

Maybe the way to proceed is to run everything on a monthly basis.

That’s fair enough. The whole bank is at risk until the end of 2008 and he starts again with £2,500 on January 1st, 2009. If he’s prepared to play the 10th, 11th and 12th he could drop £20,475 on the day, but only lose about £3,000 on the year. I think his bank will probably survive the rest of the year – I hope it does.
