What is going on? They seem to be churning out more winners than John Magnier could dream of at the minute!
Have they started buying more horses? Have they upped their budget to purchase better-bred horses? Have they got a new agent who’s incredibly shrewd and adept at finding a good’n?
Or is it just the time of year, I vaguely remember them having some decent 2yos in the past so have they just instructed their trainers like Hannon and French to target the early season races while the other trainers horses aren’t fully wound up?
Whatever is happening, they must be loving life at the moment, fair play to them.

Someone who has trained 15 winners in the last three seasons at a strike rate of just under 7%. Just the sort of trainer you would seek out to train a string of expensively purchased blue bloods.
I have read a speculative theory elsewhere about what is going on but will not repeat it here.

Ah Cork just read what I’m assuming is the theory – I’ll say it because this is allegedly and by no means official or backed up by any known evidence, but I read that allegedly some horses may be being trained by a Brazilian who doesn’t have a training license (yet).
