Ugly Mare
I am happy to speak now
I am beginning to rather
admire your inconsistencies
and relish your shades of mood
and I have sat here scratching
and thinking to myself
why your morale
is in need of a boost
when you appear always so uppity.I do not wish to dissapoint you
but certainly
I am in no position to remove my clothes
or even signify my sex.the doors just gone
March 9, 2008 at 18:12 #149286What do you mean less intense, what do you mean Muirhead???? I wouldn’t back that horse with my enermy’s money, blar, blar, rubbarb, blar, rubbarb #*****###…opps……………sorry, I forgot this was the Lounge, it’s a place to chill right?…..LOL…..sorry, wrong section…lol
I tend to go for the less exposed horses and I like the chances of Rippling Ring and Sentry Duty. Nicolls was raving about Rippling Ring prior to his debut and won well (couldn’t believe the prcie) and as you have said, could be anything. To a certain extent Captain Cee Bee, although he did miss his prior engagement. Cork All Star? Can’t wait mate…lol…has been a bit disappointing this season so far….
I’m going to check out Muirhead on ATR…..
Who’s your Champion Hurdle fancy Maggs??
March 9, 2008 at 18:32 #149289lol…oh I’m sure you’re very intense Sharpy, no doubt about that, but we needn’t be so here, I don’t think many are watching

I’ve just checked my ante post bets and find I did Sentry Duty weeks ago..lol..but I’ve just done the other 2 as well, plus a couple of others on the first day…
yeah, you check out Muirhead. I thought he would have beaten Cork in any case when they met and he goes on any ground I think. We just don’t know about the state of ground that’s the thing. I really hope Leslingtaylor runs a good race in the Arkle as the owner pays all the bills for his elderly mother who owns it, and he seems so good to her – how sweet! but he needs it firmish I think.
One of my favourites is Kruygerova but I wonder if she’ll get round. I don’t like that old course at Cheltenham, the best races on the worst course. That 2nd last fence is a lottery.I want Katchit in the Champion Sharpy. More for sentimental reasons but I did start a thread on him last Oct. and put my cards on the table so to speak….so I stick with him.
I’ve done one in the X Country – Twiston Davis’s..Florida something…can’t figure out the 4 yo handicap.
Got any bankers? you must have one?…come on now, let’s be having it

March 9, 2008 at 19:02 #149296Nice turn of foot jumping jumping the last by Muirhead….hmmm…
I like River Liane in the last race, the Fred Winter..
Sizing Europe (he could be anything) to win, Katchit (ew)
Not originals but Inglis Drever, although slight concerns about Howard Johnson’s form and Kauto Star…
March 9, 2008 at 19:06 #149297UM – that’s the first mention anywhere I’ve seen for Kruygerova – she was on my list for the Arkle, but I see she’s down to run in another race later in the week – I know nothing about her except she was someones profile horse, and if her price comes in she’s 10/10 to win the Arkle…..is she a definate for the Arkle? mo [think gamble is the great McGonnigle meself]
March 9, 2008 at 19:12 #149302lol…you may be right Mo.
oh I didn’t know Krugy was down for another race, maybe that’s wise.
Just like the way she runs, the hard way from the front and never gives up, I do like that. Do you bet Ante Post at all then Mo?March 9, 2008 at 19:18 #149303I used to UM [remember Diamond Tycoon for the Guineas – sob] but after losing a lot of my 50 pences [yes, I’ve been put 50p ew on for as long as I can remember] with horses not running or, worst of all losing their life [Nil Desperandum double sob] I’ve been really careful this year and have just had a few no run no bet, bets today….Diamond Tycoon taught me a lesson in that I didn’t enjoy the race because of the money that was at stake, and enjoying my racing is far more important..getting sooo excited about next week…….

yes Sharpy I’m glad you noticed that about Muirhead….now I’ve put a jinx on it though
that Fred Winter so many are not jockeyed up yet, so I’m at a loss.
Last year Inglis was my banker and it’s the same this time.I’m hoping Le Volfoni runs in the handicap chase on Tuesday but I see he’s a big price so he may have some other engagement although he’s jockeyed up with Mr Scholfield.
Bit of a plodder but he’s a favourite of mine too. Always runs on and did well enough in the RP chase last time I think. Like to see him in the Grand National one day.I’m having to look up that River Liane, don’t know much about that one…
oh I see he won in Ireland beating Taipan who won well today…well done Sharpy – good spot
I’d like to see Denman win the Gold Cup just to see Mr Findlay explode on our t.v. screens and not allow Alastair Down to get a word in edgeways

…Are you in the Racegoers Club Mo? we are here, and we had an option to join the syndicate for Diamond Tycoon as a 2 yr old, but we didn’t bother thinking it wouldn’t be much good…lol..mistake!…we were delighted though when it ran so well first time up as 2 yr old and won so easily at Newbury as 3 yr old, with such high hopes. He beat that good horse of Gosden’s too whose name escapes me…such a shame he got injured but I think he’ll be back this season.
yes nice to enjoy the racing for what it is – we don’t always need to bet now, do we?..well, not us

I am still studying you
but have found no disagreeable content.
On the contrary I am enamoured
by the success of this giant you have createdAs far as our relationship
it all depends
how far you want to stretch America
and whether a tea guest
whose eye protrudes from a tea towel
might unnerve your husband
on our first meetingMarch 10, 2008 at 07:45 #149395Yes, did you see his interview after Denman won the Aon?? lol
Had a look at the ‘get out stakes’ on Friday, I fancy Psycho…..he’s a bit of a nutter though…..lol…unlucky last time……
March 10, 2008 at 14:35 #149474…yes Sharpy, and we were on it last time

we hope to get our money back
March 10, 2008 at 14:54 #149482gamble…this giant?…but we’re only half way

I’m sure our tea times would be enlightened by your company, and I need to study you a little more, so don’t give up on us yet.
Otherwise, I hope you are well and looking forward to the week ahead
March 10, 2008 at 16:10 #149503Right, I’m going to do a bit more ‘studying’……need to…..there’s Sedgefield and Southwell tomorrow ….now THAT’S commitment!!! lol
March 10, 2008 at 16:22 #149507…no need to study those Sharpy…you just stick a pin in

I love Yogi Bear
….wasn’t Plumpton a mudbath today and no pictures from ATR…lol…we are doing well.March 10, 2008 at 16:51 #149511gamble…this giant?…but we’re only half way
