I still can’t work out what those big fences are…and where all the sand is!?
Best of luck tomoz.
March 13, 2008 at 21:38 #150682lol…yeah best of luck Max…not that you need it

putting mine up in a mo….oh lordy I think I’ve got one of D Russell’s in there
March 13, 2008 at 21:43 #150687That guy let me down a few times already this week…..phew…avoided him tomorrow….
March 14, 2008 at 18:29 #151100lol…hope you’re not regretting that Sharpy after seeing him boot home a nice winner for Murphy in the Coral Cup. My main bet of the day was on Junior in the same race
…I really thought I had that sewn up…Great racing, loved the Mares race despite Chomba not quite getting it after looking all over the winner. Kauto I thought was just a bit below par. Really like to see them in the King George together, that would be terrific for racing again. We must have a rematch.
Didn’t get a look in with the competition today, not a winner…lol!…hope you did a little better
March 14, 2008 at 18:54 #151115That was unlucky on Junior, Maggs, hope you did him each-way..
I told you Psycho was a nutter…..the jockey I mean…
March 14, 2008 at 19:22 #151130lol…yeah nutter…I think Jonathon Neesom made a wry comment about Bates Motel after that race which brought a smile to my face too…
no I didn’t do Junior e.w…..I’m just a saddo Sharpy
…
oh I’ve just see the comp results….mid div….must do better next time

bad luck Max, just missed out today, nice winner with Nenophar Collonges though…[how d’ya pick that out…lol]
congrats to Paul too, came with a right late rattle there, touch of the Tiger Woods Paul?..
March 14, 2008 at 22:50 #151276Oh well, Mrs Mare, that’s racing. It was good fun.
March 15, 2008 at 18:17 #151578yes roll on Aintree Max, I shall do all yours next time

Sharpy, I’ve got withdrawal symptoms… no Cheltenham…bit of an anti climax today….
hope you won some good bets.
Did anyone read about that lady in the States who sat on a toilet seat for 2 years and her boyfriend never told anyone? the things you read about today, how can anybody sit there for that length of time with your pants down and not move…I just don’t get it…what on earth’s the matter with people…America the not so beautiful
…but have to admit it did make me
too….yes I’m ashamed
sharps…..Lang Shining was 10’s at the time…look elsewhere now
I’ll ask you in future
I’ve seen who’s playing tonight, someone posted it but I got a couple questions for you.
Porter is DH and pitching are Igawa and Traber, but none of these are on your list of 25 that you guessed would make the final cut. Why don’t you rate them?also, what does this mean, I saw someone posted it:
"Mo still hitting 95 on the gun"…??tell me later
March 15, 2008 at 19:45 #151604They’re just having a look at them….all the 40 guys on the roster play in ST. Porter and Traber and new, so I don’t know them…and they are just having a look at them, see what they might be capable of…..Igawa is the pitts…end of….lol…..has not much control or bottle…
Mean’s Mo is still throwing 95 mph…they have a measuring gun to measure the speed…..
March 15, 2008 at 19:58 #151609congrats to Paul too, came with a right late rattle there, touch of the Tiger Woods Paul?..

Thank you UM – I think I was lucky.
More Voy Por Ustedes than Tiger Woods – but was beaten by Corm in Master Minded mode.

It’s funny when I checked the leaderboard I thought I had been missed out – it didn’t even cross my mind to check near the top.

I’ve got withdrawal symptoms… no Cheltenham…bit of an anti climax today
I know exactly what you mean, very much a case of after the Lord Mayor’s show today.
Although it was lovely to have a lie in this morning. I’m not a morning person and having to set off at 6:00 each morning to get to the course for 8:00 – 8:30 each day has been a killer.
March 15, 2008 at 22:22 #151677Ah! Aintree. *sigh*
Mrs Mare, I’m looking forward to it already.
March 15, 2008 at 23:33 #151695Revenge will be sweet Max

Thanks Sharpy, I see they won one and lost one today with split squads…
[see I pay attention

….lol…another one – good!…presumably you had a 2 and half hour drive back again at night….you’re keen
March 16, 2008 at 05:37 #151704Hi Maggs….even I haven’t heard of this split-squad palarva….lol….
You should have went on….any how, the thread got deleted…..those mods are punks!! lol
March 16, 2008 at 10:23 #151737….lol…another one – good!…presumably you had a 2 and half hour drive back again at night….you’re keen

Of course the drive home was after the queue to get out of the car park – although my fault on Tuesday I parked in the "wrong" car park and that took just under an hour and a quarter to get out.

Wednesday was no problem getting out – can’t think why

Thursday and Friday a combination of using the "correct" car park and not attempting to leave the course until about seven o’clock both helped. Also by Friday I had discovered a "rat run" to avoid the worse of the traffic.
March 16, 2008 at 11:41 #151757lol…poor Paul, but it does make me ask the question, would you rather have stayed at home and put your feet up?….
I suppose the atmosphere on Gold Cup day is priceless for some though…
p.s. is anyone getting these "I’m a Stay at Home Mum" adverts at top of page on this forum? …ladies in their underwear….
maybe I log out and log back in again
doesn’t do anything for me I’m afraid

It is a fair question, however your latter comment sums it up – the atmosphere on all the days is something to experience – although personally I do prefer the atmosphere at Punchestown – only four weeks until that one starts.
There is also the "I was there factor" when you have runs like Master Minded, Inglis Drever and the Gold Cup itself.
Gold Cup day itself is a pain as it is too crowded to comfortably move around the place. I have to confess on Friday I actually reverted to watching four of the five races on the TV in the media centre because I could not be bothered to fight through the crowd – although I watched the main races "live".
The "inconvenience" is of my own making as I choose to "commute" each day as opposed to staying locally.
Partly because I am more of a home bird nowadays and partly I refuse to pay the inflated prices that are charged by local hotels at festival times (although I can’t really blame them for doing so – I would do the same).
I even commute for the Aintree and Punchestown festivals – (believe it or not it is 1/3 the cost to fly to Ireland each day than it is to stay in a hotel out there)

…and I hope you weren’t the cause of this deletion…I’d be astonished

Paul,
sounds like you’ve got things well organised….all sorted.
I think Punchestown has come on a lot in recent years hasn’t it….surprised you find the atmosphere there more to your liking though,…I wouldn’t have thought that possible after Cheltenham…perhaps a little more earthy?I’m very disappointed that Kauto Star and Denman will not meet again for another year, such a pity for the public that we will not see them at Kempton, a much fairer track and better to gauge their merits, and less time to wait…anything can happen. A real kick in the teeth I think for all those who support the NH game, how can anyone be satisfied with this.
