Interesting discussion this morning (as usual) on Luck On Sunday.

This week they have a vet on talking about the dissemination of wind op info to the public – he’s outlining how grey the area of the value of all the different types of wind-ops and hinting that he feels the information isn’t really much good to bettors.
Nick Luck is saying ‘I’d rather have the information than not have it’.

When is information useful when is it not? When do you have ‘too much information’ (or maybe you can’t!)?
Finally, what information do you think is under-bet or over-bet at the minute?

    What do you think?

as long as the editorialising [ie the vet’s decision to report/ not report a condition] is reasonably objective, should be left to the punter to interpret [however well/ill able to do so].

hkjc puts these in public domain:

Personally admin I would like access to the information allowing one to make use of it as you will.
While I don’t know if one would call it ‘information’ but I do think ‘unlucky losers’ noted & commented on in running are overrated for their following outings.
Bookies offer no value on such horses and with people drawn in by the story the odds are stacked,in my opinion,in favour of the bookmakers.
For me too many punters try to be a ‘jack of all trades’ thus handing the advantage to the layers who simply ‘play the odds’ creaming a little off the top for themselves each time.
I’ve learned to specialize and although it makes for less opportunity to lay a bet I know I’m playing to my strengths ..ALWAYS REMEMBER WHILE BOOKIES OFFER ODDS ON ALL RACES …..YOU DON’T HAVE TO BET ON ALL RACES!
    good luck to all
