Now I know I seem I have a vendeta against tipsters at the moment but I promise I am just pointing a few facts out.

Now Alex Hammond has a small section on Sky Sports News and gives her daily tip.

Now I know it isn’t easy picking just one horse a day but I thought to prove the point I am making I would tot up her record over the past month and here it is.

    Horses tipped: 30
Winners: 7
Favourites tipped: 23
Odds on: 9

Now I am not sure how she can be called a racing pundit/tipster. I think it is ridiculous that people who continously tip up very short priced horses get away with it. Trust me. Watch Sky Sports News tomorrow and watch the last ten minutes when she gives her tip. No doubt it will be a fav. There would be nothing wrong if half of them came in (which they should do at the price) but I find it bewildering.

    I’m finished now!!!

It’s just an inoffensive slot for the "casual" racing fan. Don’t think her tipping success rate is anything to really get wound up about is it ?

I love the way you have a little dig at tipsters and then post your tipping website at the end. Double standards?

agreed mm, great eye candy and never likely to make me think of suicide, as some of ’em do

everybody has a bad run, perhaps she doesn’t have much time in the morning to go through the cards after getting ready for work so just picks a jolly and hopes ?

rather her and her tips than thommo and his ;)

I agree with BSB, Alex Hammond is just there so as Sky Sports News can spend 5 minutes less talking about the cricket. I also find it interesting that a man marketing himself as a pro tipster can so generously donate his time to alert us to the foibles of other tipsters. ;)

OK I do apologise. It does look rather dodgy that I am slagging other tipsters off. I do apologise I just don’t like seeing tipsters continously give out short priced favourites but I shall now keep shtum on the subject.

    CASE CLOSED!!!
…the last-named of whom, I believe, called Metal Detector as a first-fence faller in a Towcester race this evening, only for said animal to dot up about six minutes later. I’m sure he corrected himself soon enough during the commentary proper, but I think someone had already thrown £330 at the 1000 on Betfair based on that call, with the worst possible consequences. Eeek.

    Hello,

I always knew of Alex as an attractive accessory on the arm of her husband of some time ago, Micky.

She undoubtedly brightened up the day on a dreary Wetherby afternoon. I was surprised to see her on Sky TV, but she does brighten up many a dreary morning if only she would smile more :)

As a Tipster? Well, she knows slightly more than most "tipsters" being married to a trainer for a spell.

    regards,

    doyley

I fell in love with her as a fat spotty 18-year and, as a fat clear-skinned 37-year-old, I’m happy to report that nothing has changed :)

What’s she like in the flesh, Mounty?;)

I have never managed to match my racegoing days with her working days.:(

I have only ever seen her on the box and then just her face (and very nice it is too), does she in fact have a body?:cheesy:

I was sat next to Alex at Aintree on Grand National day 2004 watching Arsenal play Man U in the FA Cup semi –
I remember having this overwhelming feeling that if I licked her she’d taste of pink bubble gum. I saw her at Chepstow the other week. She is no longer blonde. I didn’t get that feeling again.
