Nayibeth is the one here for me for Wesley Ward. On at 7/1 but there’s still plenty of juice left in her.
Etoile for O’Brien is a clear danger but I think this is Wards best juvenile based on that run on debut. I believe she also broke the track record on the bridle.
June 10, 2019 at 08:07 #1444971Albigna at 20s takes the eye for me.
Somehow Tango is priced at 10s, albeit being beaten by Albinia. This looks a good one for Ms Harrington, on the same colours as the mighty Alpha Centauri. (2nd on this race a couple years ago)
June 10, 2019 at 15:08 #1444982Etoile 5-1. Won a group 3 on debut and AOB said plenty more to come.
June 11, 2019 at 14:09 #1445041Albigna 20/1
Won nicely on debut looking green beating a subsequent winner who went off fav for the race this horse beat her in.
Sired by Zoffany, who has a brilliant record in this race with his progeny and Jessie had Alpha go off Fav for the Niarchos family in this two years ago (Probably should’ve won) so she’s no stranger to the race.Jessie has her 2YOs motoring now, i think this beast should be nearer 10s.
June 11, 2019 at 14:33 #1445043Glad I’m not the only one Kev, she should be around 9s IMO.
June 12, 2019 at 21:40 #1445178Etoile is out of the race with a minor injury.
Just topped up on Nayibeth at 5/1 and she’s my biggest bet and NAP of the week now.
June 12, 2019 at 22:46 #1445184Nayibeth here too now.
June 13, 2019 at 05:28 #1445193Where is the news about Etoile? Is Nayibeth a certain runner in this?
June 13, 2019 at 05:54 #1445194Frenchy – Aiden O’Brien said she was out today in his stable tour. Available on the At The Races site.
And yes Nayibeth definitely goes here. Interesting today in Wesley Wards stable tour (also on ATR) that he always thought of Nayibeth as his best 2 year old from an early stage this season.
Honestly lads.. I’m excited. I think she’s absolutely ridiculous at 5/1. She’s going to win like an Evens shot and she won’t be going off any bigger than 9/4. 5s is enormous.
June 13, 2019 at 08:04 #1445196I usually back WWs juveniles blind at ascot anyway, so I’m on! I’ll start a thread on the Norfolk as well
June 13, 2019 at 08:10 #1445198It sounds utterly mental for a once raced American juvenile to be my NAP of the meeting but she genuinely is.
I just can’t believe she’s 5/1. It’s bonkers.
June 13, 2019 at 08:27 #1445201Not worried about the 6F or the way this race usually goes? It’s always a bit of a lottery usually. WW doesn’t normally target this race either?
June 13, 2019 at 08:48 #1445204The only thing I don’t want is a downpour overnight on Thursday.
Assuming that doesn’t happen, i think she wins.
June 13, 2019 at 08:53 #1445207“Ward’s NAYIBETH (106) looks up to the required standard, having run fully 1.11s quicker than Chili Petin did two races earlier when winning her only start at Keeneland in April. The runner-up, Owlette, was beaten four and a quarter lengths and has won well at Woodbine since, while there was daylight back to the third.
Final Song and Chasing Dreams seem more likely to go in the Queen Mary (see comments there), and Aidan O’Brien’s ETOILE (96) may be the main danger, having won a Group 3 at Naas on her only start in just a fairly useful time. Improvement should be forthcoming, and probably needs to be.”
Rowlands view on here does agree with MOM.
I Sort’ve thought perhaps Final Song would maybe turn up here but he doesn’t!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 14, 2019 at 10:17 #1445253Nayibeth (Likely target: Albany)
Another Keeneland maiden winner whose form was franked next time out, Nayibeth posted a speed figure just 5 lb shy of that which Kimari recorded the following week. As usual for a Ward juvenile, she showed lots of speed and barely broke sweat in beating a subsequent winner by just over 4 lengths. The doubt about Nayibeth is likely to be the sixth furlong of the Albany. For all his success at the meeting, Wesley Ward has yet to train a Royal Ascot 2-y-o winner at further than 5f, his juveniles all about early pace, and that uphill final furlong or so can prove their undoing. That said, Nayibeth is an exciting prospect if her speed can be rationed a little.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 19, 2019 at 18:16 #1446015I’m on with Nayibeth, but a good win tonight from Southern Hills out of first year sire crop Gleneagles. On friday in this Ryan Moore’s pick is Precious Moments, also out of Gleneagles and is 20/1. Surely way too big.
Precious Moments 20/1
June 19, 2019 at 20:39 #1446033Frenchy, that’s not a bad shout tbh. Tango didn’t run badly today beaten 4Ls, on the wrong side of the track. Sunday Sweet who finished fourth that day is another All About Sunday syndicate horse that has been sold. Presume they think a bit of her too!
Big prices do well in this race.
