I’ve never went mad on this race, as I so rarely get it right.

I certainly didn’t get it right last year with Grand Vision, but I think he’s worth a second chance. 13yo now, but he surely can’t jump any worse than last year.

The other I really like is Kruzhlinin. From top yard, acts round here, and the trip is perfect. Plenty to like, and I thought he be favourite.

The actual favourite is Road To Rome, and in hindsight, I suppose that’s fair enough, he was very impressive last week, and can’t be negative about him at all.

    Others who jump out are……

    Marinero
    Mr Mix
    Road To Riches
    Top Wood

…but for now, I’ll focus on the main pair. No money down yet, and might be as well just waiting, and only a market move might see me go for Kruz early, as Grand Vision should hold ok around that price.

I like to look at those that have gone well here before. Bears Affair and Greensalt are of interest as a consequence.

It’s hard not to enthuse over Road To Rome after his Cheltenham run. Trainer deserves a change of luck after what happened to Lilbitluso last year.

Thanks for putting the thread up Bobby, didn’t notice these had been priced up.

Kruzhlinin 8s is a huge price. Unbeaten since going into points, Gordon will have him spot on and as you say trip is perfect. Should be 9/2 considering his main rivals all had hard races in the Cheltenham version just 20 days prior to this.

Road to riches is def of interest …his 6th in last year’s national reads well esp as he went there in no form ….can’t see him being to far away

I like Road to Riches here at 20/1. Really jumped well in the National last year and on his old form he should be there.

Skybet are offering 5 places each way here, and I will use that for Balnaslow at 16-1.

11-2 looks a good price for my main selection, Burning Ambition

I am two here at big prices five places.

PASS THE HAT at 50/1 and ROAD TO RICHES at 16/1

I really like Pass the Hat though and I think it is a massive price .
Ex Arthur Moore and has been round here before in the Topham and ran okay having got hampered without looking like getting involved. I can’t believe this is a fifty shot!!

Pass The Hat for me as well Raymo. Proper old favourite on here a few years back, and always got a big mention in the big races, 80’s to five places will do me, considering how he went the other day.

Another old favourite Top Wood is worth a bet too at 18’s, thought he ran ok at the last two festivals, and retains some sort of ability.

Pass The Hat 80’s EW 5Pls
    Top Wood 18’s
