Is it just my computer but when I try to switch to another part of the forum I get adverts popping up instead?
November 13, 2016 at 17:38 #1272521This has been ongoing for a while. There’s a thread about it here:
https://theracingforum.co.uk/forums/topic/issue-log-to-record-technical-issues-with-the-site/
I find it useful to refresh before going to the next page; tedious but effective.
November 13, 2016 at 17:40 #1272522It’s been happening for a while Moe, admin are aware of it. You could download an
ad blocker, that would stop the adverts problem although you would still probably
have to refresh your page now and again as there is also a freeze problem.November 13, 2016 at 19:54 #1272537Thanks guys; I thought it was just me. I can get round it if I persevere.
November 14, 2016 at 00:33 #1272579Mine are getting worse and worse too, literally have to come completely out of the Forum to clear a persistent advert. It’s annoying but as Moe says you can get round it.
November 14, 2016 at 09:50 #1272600I’ve Adblocker running and have never seen an advert on the TRF site.
November 14, 2016 at 10:58 #1272623Just to reiterate of what I would do if I was experiencing the problems you are encountering:
1) Download the free version Malwarebytes – if there any nasties on your PC this will get rid of them: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ – keep this programme on your PC and run-it on a regular basis if you do not have an full security programme running all the time.
2) Ensure your antivirus/security programmes are updated daily.
3) Install an “Ad Blocker” via your browser – AdBlock, Adblock Plus, etc.
Hopefully this might help.

Thank you Matron have downloaded the link and so far No Adverts
Will make sure I put this on my laptop and phone too.
Does the free home trial need to be upgraded to the Premium service after a while?

If you have downloaded the full version you get 14 days free and if you do not subscribe after that time it will automatically downgrade to the free version. (The free version does not have “real time protection” so you might want regularly scan your pc.)
November 14, 2016 at 13:54 #1272639Thanks for that Matron it’s really working well at the moment so I think I will subscribe after the 14 days is up

Nope, you can keep running it without upgrading, though it will ask you if you want to of course. You can even update the free one from time to time without having to buy.
