    I hope I’m wrong …
first hurdle today first race at Wincanton … Say When (Jamie Insole) jumped straight across Admirable Duque (Ben Ffrench Davis) and brought him down … he got up but looked like a front leg was broken as he was holding it up … commentator remarked on the re-run that he was on 3 legs and hoped he would be OK …??! Screens were up …
if it is the worst news it’s horrible to think that yet another long-term flat performer is lost (47 flat turf, 38 all weather, just 4 hurdles … today was his 90th start at 8 years old … never failed to finish …) not his fault, a very wayward jump by an out of control horse – poor chap was in the wrong place at the wrong time … I had to go out so don’t know if Racing UK did an update …

What a disgraceful way to kill a horse!!!
The biggest muppits riding almost the worst and inexperienced horses in the country and that without a whip.
Admirable Duque was one of the last horses in training that should have gone another time over hurdles. Every time he ran over the jumps he was beaten out of sight. No need to have him racing over hurdles even with AP or Ruby up. But then with a poor amateur aboard and also without the help of the whip. I really don`t know what people are thinking.
    Nothing, that`s for sure.
Rest in Peace Adirable Duque and trainers with two winners over the jumps in more than five years should prove that they are really able to train jumpers
