A referendum on Covid?

While it is only theoretical, I would like to know how many forumites, instead of endlessly debating on it (as I too have done) would like to see the decision taken out of the hands of politicians and scientists and be able to vote on it as a single issue.

Given that the most Googled term in the UK on 24th June 2016 was ‘what is the EU?’ or something similar then I’m firmly of the opinion that the public should be allowed nowhere near this issue.

I think “the public” are, for the most part, a bunch of shocking individuals who have never really grown up, many have now reached the pensioner stage and are still kids, and they just want politicians and scientists to do their individual bidding yet also take responsibility for the consequences.

Abject CHILDREN most of them.

Vote on it, take personal responsibility for it.

I doubt if anyone will step forward and say they would like to vote and take responsibility.

I am not a supporter of referenda. It is too difficult to distill complex issues down to a simple question.
