I, too am concerned about the numbers of people arriving in this country. Have been for a long time. But I can see that there is a political party that is using it as a means of getting into power that have the backing of people that in no way care about people like me. They happily use offshore accounts, are climate change deniers and they want to privatise the NHS. Their leader is a Trump mini me. And to achieve that they’re making people afraid of people escaping from countries that have problems that we can’t even comprehend.

The thing is the Tories are full of fear , the public arent forgetting the absolute horror show of there last year’s in power , Badenoch is looking desperate throwing out all these promises , the public don’t trust the Tories , that’s why they are nowhere in the polls and getting trounced in bi elections , give another 12 to 18 months after theyve knifed Bedenoch and Farage will be getting the fluttering eye lashes and the flashing of a bit of leg …

As I have now been referred for palliative care, I’m not sure that I care any more, but I would like to see someone wipe the smile off Farage’s face.

They haven’t given up with my treatment but the chemo that they were using only works for a limited time, depending on age, fitness etc.
They are hoping to enrol me on another clinical trial with drugs that have a 30 to 50% success rate.

Purwell, my deepest sympathies to you and your family.

However long you may have, don’t let any of these waste of space, miserable, negative politicians get you down. I hope you can forget all that and find some joy instead.

Wishing you all of the very best.

I won’t give up fighting Farage if you promise to get yourself onto one of those clinical trials and carry on fighting too…

Purwell, it is quite an achievement to get everyone who posts on this thread to agree on something, but I think you’ve done it!

Wishing you all the very best in the next stage of treatment. Fingers very much crossed for you.

Hate to break the mood Marlingford but think ‘holier than thou’ Angela Rayner deserves a mention.
Having finally coughed up the truth, through gritted teeth, she now blames others.Considering she used ‘top notch’ firms to advise her I find it surprising that they would have missed what she claims for the ‘error’.
Having spent recent times screaming at others to resign and publish details of such controversies perhaps she will now follow her own calls and publish this ‘misleading’ advice for the public to judge.
    good luck to all

Given how desperate the media are to discredit Rayner in any way possible they must be really scared of her…

The best wishes from me too, Purwell. I hope you can get on one of these trials and may science, efficacy and the necessary luck be on your side. Please, don’t hesitate to keep us updated as this is a very important matter. Life is much more than horses, sports and politics.
    All the best to you!
