I’m sure there was a horse called Gin Time in the Carlisle bumper today in the colours of the great A Kinsman winner of the Stayers and Sun Alliance chase. I was at school 30 miles from where he was trained by a permit holder called John Brockbank at the time.
December 15, 2024 at 22:41 #1715539The owner is listed as JB Racing. Wonder if that name has anything to do with the Brockbank family?
December 20, 2024 at 19:28 #1715816I was at the Cumberland Farmers point to point when A Kinsman won the second division of the Maiden. The first division had been won by Earls Brig who went on to be placed in the King George and the Gold Cup!

December 29, 2024 at 18:44 #1717005Wow what a privilege to see that. I think Earl’s Brig and Peaty Sandy used to have some battles if memory serves me well. I was at Kelso when I saw I big bay horse in a bumper who I thought would make a nice chaser. His name was Jodami and of course he bolted up!
