This horse has drifted due to the Varian horse being backed from 3/1 into 5/4 favourite and being a handicap debutant that horse could well be a good thing, however it will have to be incredibly well in at the weights in order to beat the selection. Champagne Sarah won incredibly easily LTO when winning on her own handicap debut over this track. Similar draw here which will be no problem for the horse, should be able to slot in behind them and be pulled out or between horses for her challenge. The horse travelled insanely well LTO and won incredibly cosily, wandering and looking a touch clueless once hitting the front she will be seen to best effect if challenging late, she has the cruising speed to make this possible. This race is also over 1f further than her LTO win which will be no problem and the form has worked out as the 2nd horse won well the other night.
Impossible to say how good this Varian favourite could be, but Champagne Sarah at 7/4 is far too big. No big bet for me unfortunately with Christmas round the corner but if I had more monies in the account I’d be willing to lay more down, just a small bet sadly.

November 15, 2022 at 18:03 #1623232Hi Ben,
That runner was trained by Murphy and Keady.
Roger Varian is 1/1 today and had a bumper winner first NH winner in six years. He has another runner at Newcastle.November 15, 2022 at 21:49 #1623260Oh, well I’m clearly as blind as a bat then Sam lol!!!
