Been a great thread in the last few years have spotted horses like SNA,FRANKEL and Camelot we all have so here is the start of the 2012 thread.
Normally the 1st 2yo maiden is not a good race but this year it looked a cracker.DAWN APPROACH is 2 from 2 and the 3rd FORESTER who won a maiden next time out beating another Bolger horse MOVE TO STRIKE who has since won a maiden very easy to.So far it looks like these are the best 2yos in Ireland in terms of the colts.
In England the best 2yo maiden so far was at Newbury when ENGLISHMAN won quite cosy the form has been franked by the horses behind him too.
Any thoughts from you guys.
May 22, 2012 at 14:43 #405143New Pearl who won at HQ on 1000 Guineas day won with plenty of authority. He should be suited by a step up to 6f.
Both of the Bolger horses are entered in the Marble Hill on Saturday while Infanta Branca is down to represent Ballydoyle, Cay Verde could represent the Englishman form while Hannon and Johnston have Lyric Ace and Heavy Metal in at this stage. Forester needs further than the minimum.
May 22, 2012 at 18:03 #405156Eclipse i forget about New Pearl i did very good debut from that horse
And Infanta Branca was very good on debut though she was 2nd behind LIBERATING and the 3rd won since too.
Any unraced 2yos you guys waiting for mine is.MONTCLAIR a son of Montjeau he be out when 7f and 1m maidens start.
May 29, 2012 at 12:05 #405909Lines Of Battle was a nice winner of a maiden race at weekend.
Cay Verde won listed race but intresting to note that Mick Channon said he has a few nicer types then him.
Any thoughts on the Coventry i like this DAWN APPROACH best 2yo we seen so far.

May 31, 2012 at 18:38 #406182Just watched a recording of Sir Prancealot win at Sandown this evening. Struth, how many gears did he have? Looking forward to seeing this one run again. Brilliant!
May 31, 2012 at 18:56 #406185Sir Prancelot looks very exciting, to pick up 2 or 3 times like that in one race takes some doing!
June 1, 2012 at 15:54 #406263Christoforo Colombo would be high on my list of 2yo’s this season.
June 3, 2012 at 18:47 #406714Shocked that NEW PEARL got beat was the horse that beat him a decen one in his own right or did fav under perform.
I agree on Sir Prancelott as well very good horse he looks
There are 2 listed races for 2yos at Naas tomorrow any thoughts on them.
June 3, 2012 at 21:01 #406738The colts race is a cracker darren. Be interesting to see the match of GB and Irish form. Mister Marc looked promising to me but the Irish form could be strong
June 6, 2012 at 18:16 #407123Dawn Approach won again but why is he going for easier race at Ascot in the Chesham and not coventry.
I like this LINES OF BATTLE i do was only just ready and won a maiden quite cosy top class horse from coolmoore

Dawn Approach
has now moved into the top 15 on my 2yo old list with a speed rating of
76
.
Sir Prancealot
would be sitting joint top on my 2yo list with a rating of
85
if we take into account the interference at Sandown cost him approximately 2 lengths.
My qualifying rating for Royal Ascot is
75
.

June 8, 2012 at 16:00 #407362I managed to watch my top rated 2yo
Penny’s Picnic
run in a listed contest today at Maison-Laffitte and he won easy enough just ridden out with hands and heels.
I did a quick calculation of the going today and the course was riding
-0.34s/f
per furlong slow making the time base going as
good to soft
.
The provisional speed rating today was only
49
which is a big drop from his last figure of
85
.
I am still hoping that the horse will run at Royal Ascot
June 9, 2012 at 18:42 #407507This looks an interesting thread. Are your ratings available on a website? I like doing ratings but unfortunately it takes me far too long to make it worth my while.
As for the 2-y-o’s I have Penny’s Picnic as a HTF and was happy enough with the France victory. The speed rating is not an issue for me because the first run shows how fast the horse can go.
Fingers crossed for Royal Ascot!!
June 11, 2012 at 11:38 #407691Nice to see you on the forum it is mate all the posters here are nice people they are.
Any thoughts on the 2yos races at Ascot as well
June 12, 2012 at 17:19 #407826I see there has been strong support for Englishman and Cristoforo Colombo for the Coventry. I think Cristoforo Colombo could be special but at the same time I wouldn’t take 7/2 ante post.
June 16, 2012 at 16:49 #408305What 2yos are you waiting to see at Ascot next week
And been some nice types winning over the last few weeks.
NEWFANGLED won at Newmarket she did
TORNADO looks a smart type the way he won debut last week was very taking
And a nice fillies maiden at Leopardstown where John Oxx had 1st 2yo runner who won as well.HARASIYA and the 2nd looks a good type as well which was NURPUR
Any thoughts on the above horses
