I thought it would interesting for people to share horses they like at 25/1+ (please make sure 25/1 is available at time of posting, no point people mentioning horses they backed at 500’s on the exchange last October – well done tho
).Both on Day 1
Mares: Rock on the Moor – 50/1
2nd in this last year at 66/1. Lost nothing in defeat behind Limini and Apple’s Jade on heavy ground and I can see a similar performance at a huge price on decent ground in two weeks.
National Hunt Chase: Aurillac – 40/1
I like this horse. I am looking for a horse that finishes 3m strongly like it wants 4 and I think Aurillac fits the bill. Was a decent 2nd to Beware the Bear at Newbury where he closed 5 lengths on the run in to half a length. He made up impressive ground to lose by a head at Chepstow displaying the same characteristic of finishing strongly. Rebecca Curtis says this is her best chance of a winner this week and that this horse wants good ground and 4m. He gets it on the opening day and I can see him running into a place at a big price.
£5 place double returns £495

I must’ve been dreaming as have looked and can only see 25’s in shop!

25/1 still makes the grade
March 4, 2017 at 22:36 #1289921There’s two class mares at the top of the betting but the Mares Novices hurdle could have a surprise or two in there. Toetheline is a high class mare who wants no more than 2miles and good ground absolutely key. 40/1 on betfair is way off
March 4, 2017 at 22:46 #12899262 others to keep an eye on:
Landofhopeandglory and Dinaria des Obeaux are arguably strongest Irish contenders but treble the price of mega fortune, mad stuff. Landofhopeandglory in particular looks really nicely prepped now.The other is Haymount. RSA not looking the strongest now. His win earlier in the season was really impressive even though form hasn’t worked out the best. Definitely wants the better ground
