Thought this unseat was an unusual one and suspect the reason it has not elicited any comment is due to the fact it was on an unfancied outsider…..far be it from me from the comfort of my sofa to be overly critical of any young jockey but I thought it appeared that he simply jumped off
I suspect/hope his balance was comprised and it just looked worse than it was…..perhaps not comment worthy but interested in people’s viewsJanuary 12, 2017 at 13:52 #1281584Looked very strange to me too. Seemed to regain his balanced before jumping off
January 12, 2017 at 20:55 #1281649Have to agree. Seemed very odd. Seemed to be travelling well until the mistake. Maybe he thought the chance had gone so jumped off, which it appeared he did. Surprised nothing was said at the time.
January 12, 2017 at 23:16 #1281669Appears he is in the news again after an incident today on Rock of Leon at Leicester

Needs investigated! look bloody terrible!
January 13, 2017 at 12:50 #1281750Think I agree….the more I look at it the saddle does not appear to have moved and it certainly appears that he has simply jumped ship. I’m very very surprised the stewards did not look at this. Surely an explanation should be provided in the interest of clarity and transparency? Fair enough if there is a valid reason but we should have it if there is. I heard from one source that he may have got injured in the poor jump beforehand however considering he was riding at Leicester yesterday this would put pay to that notion.
January 13, 2017 at 12:53 #1281751It looked like he went for an action replay. “This is what should have happened first time” kind of thing.
January 13, 2017 at 17:50 #1281797Looks worse the more you look at it, surely for his own reputation there should be a full enquiry into any abnormal betting on the horse or even in the future if there is a punt on it
January 13, 2017 at 22:16 #1281849I agree that the Hereford ride / unseating does look suspicious, however I feel that those feelings should be tempered and balanced against the relative inexperience of the jockey.
The ride on Rock of Leon does not concern me as much as I think that the horse jinked unexpectedly left and may have gone wrong / broken down, unfortunatelyJanuary 13, 2017 at 23:45 #1281878I agree that the Hereford ride / unseating does look suspicious, however I feel that those feelings should be tempered and balanced against the relative inexperience of the jockey.

Haven’t a clue how many point to points and wouldn’t even try to guess how many times he has schooled horses over hurdles. We aren’t talking about a 16 year old 10 pound claimer
