    https://www.racingpost.com/news/festivals/grand-national-festival/the-strange-case-of-the-british-trained-grand-national-hopeful-who-ran-a-career-best-over-three-miles-.-.-.-but-isnt-qualified-aWdWm5b6Ng4x

    Tiny violin required.
Why didn’t they enter him in the Ultima? Boo-hoo, he would have to carry close to topweight. If they don’t want to run in the Gold Cup, why don’t they stick him on the boat to Belfast and run him in the soft 3 miler at Down Royal on Paddys Day that Agusta Gold and Samcro qualified in last year? Boo-hoo, he’d have to go on the boat (not like he has to swim there). If they don’t like that, they could always school him over a few XC jumps and canter round that behind Delta Work and pals. Plenty of options.
The point of the qualification rules is to make it harder for unsound horses that fall over to get into the race.

Our Power would need quite a number above him to come out to get in

Galvin had a small procedure op on his back, Elliot says he will go cross country Cheltenham like Delta Work. Then the national.
Conflated main aim is the Gold cup, Elliot says so prob be national next year for him
Fury Road is also unlikely runner as goes for Ryanair Cheltenham
Ash Tree Meadow mentions him as he beat waiting another year. While escaria Ten failed to see put the trip last year after running well for long way. Then had his wobble in the cooling area

Time for the Grand National “Chezzfolio” –
    Coko Beach 50/1
    Quick Wave 33/1
    Royal Pagaille 50/1
    Hill Sixteen 100/1

All win only NRNB with the William Hill Organisation, using Chezza’s latest Proxy Account under the alias of the visiting tourist American grid-iron player “Tank Hughes.”

Should all four run, additional combination forecasts and tricasts will ensure that the Wolf is kept from the door and one’s head is kept above water for the remainder of the decade.

“Vanillier 100/1 or 66s nrnb is very very tempting off that weight”

Agree about Vanillier, that was a decent trial.

Still a few more on my radar, but it’ll all come down to just how big a betting race I want it to be.

I’ve definitely got conflicting interest with the Elliot pair. Delta Work was always bet with the intention of laying it all off, should he win The Cross Country. That 33’s just looked wrong at the time. Problem there is that Galvin could be a spanner in the works if he goes Cross Country, which is looking increasingly likely. At this point I’d much rather Galvin performed the better of the two at Cheltenham. I’ve been putting Galvin up for The Cross Country for at least a couple of years, so I should’ve seen it coming.

Happy with the rest, but I still hope that Remastered doesn’t go, as I feel the owners should stick to their guns.

Definitely a few more though who are jumping out……

    Corach Rambler
Interesting careful prep for this one, and as I think he’s got a future outwith handicaps, I suspect he’s very, very well handicapped. Agree completely with the shouts for him.

    Any Second Now
Bet him the last three years, and a real favourite. Tough here off top weight, and certainly a bridesmaid feel to him, but still, 20’s NRNB is a very fair EW price for a horse who’s hard to keep out the top five, even off top weight.

    Le Milos
Surprisingly low key here, has had a great season, and a big price for a horse who’s probably got a few pounds up his cuff. 25’s seems fair

    Capodanno
Standout for me at 33’s. Definitely better than a 33-1 shot, mark looks fair, his last run obviously a pipe opener. Looks to have been very carefully campaigned for top connections. I’m on the verge of adding him.

    Lord Lariat
Irish National winner who’s another seemingly forgotten horse. He surely comes here, and he’s no way a 40-1 shot.

    The Shunter
A horse I’ve always liked, and a very interesting contender now, with that Premier Chase entry. Last years winning yard, and can see him being popular in the coming weeks, particularly if he can run at Kelso, which I think he needs to

    Cloudy Glen
Last years winner of The Ladbroke Trophy, who looked good at Haydock off a long layoff. Nice weight, and definitely looks overpriced

    Cape Gentleman
Was a real notebook horse of mine a couple of years back, and though he’s got plenty to do to prove he’s up to this, as well as actually qualifying, I find him very interesting from this yard.

I’ll surely add more. Capodanno and The Shunter most interesting for me at the moment, but all hinging really on Delta Work at the moment.

    Delta Work 33’s
    Galvin 33’s
    Hill Sixteen 100’s NRNB
    Remastered 25’s NRNB
    Roi Mage 150’s EW

Don’t normally bet this race antepost, but Capodanno is very much of interest for me. 33/1

Nine scratched, five of them UK.

Will the UK have any left in at all by the big day?

Watched the LEINSTER NATIONAL at Naas yesterday, and had a small EW bet on the 2 National runners (Gabby Cross and Milan Native).

None of which impressed me for the big one at Aintree, but would like to know how others feel about them, just to be objective.

I reckon Elliott is priming Milan for something , similar profile to Coko beach , he won’t win a National , maybe the Pat Taafe at Punchestown

Got to analyse Delta works victory in depth, but my initial thought was a very good trial race for Aintree. Just like Tiger 🐅 Roll.
