I’m restricted by William Hill, but nevertheless I’ve had the maximum allowable stake (of literally “ten bob”) to win a “nifty” simply because I’ll never hear the bloody end of it on here if it goes and wins!

Good luck, Joe – and Nathan!

At the weights I’d be with Remastered, Longhouse poet and Chris Dream.

Coko Beach and Quick Wave are two of interest to me, at this stage.
    No bets yet, though.

Quick Wave won off 148 on Saturday and is up to 152, while Coko Beach won off an Irish 146 on Sunday and is on 155 here.

Looking at the horses at the top of the weights, I wonder how many of the top ten highest weighted entrants are definitely going to line up?

Eight of the top ten have entrants at Cheltenham and have to have some level of doubt about going for this!

I wouldn’t even be surprised if they pulled ASN out given he’s carrying more than the last couple of years and now a year older.

    Reminder William Hill are NRNB.

After Sunday’s win Gordon Elliott said Coko Beach may go straight to Aintree, he’s 50/1 NRNB with William Hill and I don’t see how he can be that big if he’s there on the day.

Quick Wave is a standout at the weights currently. Hills are still going 33’s, so I might have a go, for all my list is starting to inflate.

Chris’s Dream was a fancy of mine for this last year and was due to carry top weight before injury set him back. He’s got 11 stone this time. I just wonder if he’ll be going for the Foxhunters instead as he’s been running in points this year and his owners have two other likely sorts in this.

    Of my original shortlist:

Corach Rambler – Already bet and am happy with him.
Happygolucky – Runs off his mark, so no worries there.
Le Milos – Can’t make my mind up. He could improve still, but it’s a tough one to read.
Royale Pagaille – Definitely a NRNB selection.
The Big Dog – Carries 2 pounds more than his official mark. Might be a touch exposed

Oh yeah, I also stuck a fiver each way on Vanillier at 100/1, because I never learn

Unibet go 40/1 Quick Wave, but that’s “all in, run or not” and the 33s NRNB with William Hill has to make more appeal.

If she runs, I don’t see her being 33/1 on the day either.

“Quick Wave is a standout at the weights currently.”

    Welsh National –

    The Big Breakaway 148 – 2nd
    Quick Wave 144 – PU

    Now –

    The Big Breakaway 151
    Quick Wave 152

If Quick Wave is a weights standout gord knows what you would call The Big Breakaway :o)

Fiddlerontheroof is out for the season hdlg

I’ve added Coko Beach and Lord Lariat here to my original bet on The Big Dog

Coko Beach 50/1 non runner no bet
Lord Lariat 40/1 non runner no bet
The Big Dog 33/1 ew 5plcs

Coko Beach would definitely be my big hope from that trio. I bet him in The Thyestes, but stupidly left him alone on Sunday. I think that he is too big here, and he looked as if he is finally in a position to back up a big run next time out
