He’d be perfect for him Quelle lol. Henderson’s record in it is terrible, but he must be due one soon.
December 3, 2018 at 07:47 #1387904I’m on Abolitionist at 50/1, I’ll inevitably add Step Back even though he should be going for the Gold Cup.
December 3, 2018 at 18:24 #1387939I’m a big fan of Theatre Territory, and I think she’s one of the best handicapped horses in training. I’m hoping she can run a big race on Saturday, and book her place here. Off of 132, she’ll have to.
Unusual for me not to have a “book” on the go at this stage, but have traded everything back, bar TT’s stablemate Missed Approach, who I’m still mad keen on.
Not sure how I feel having my main two (for now) being from the one yard, but I had to add her early.
Theatre Territory 100’s EW 5 Places
December 5, 2018 at 18:18 #1388112Gordon Elliot talking up his French import Borice today. Seems to like him for this.
Holds entries in The Welsh National, and The Paddy Power at Leapordstown, and now introduced at 66’s for Aintree.
December 8, 2018 at 15:57 #1388551Added Noble Endeavour 50-1 to my portfolio. Trainer pleased with the run and said he would be aimed for this.
December 8, 2018 at 16:17 #1388558That’s a good bet Mike. Might join you a bit closer to the time.
December 8, 2018 at 17:02 #1388563I’ll be surprised if Missed Approach wins a National. Those fences take too much out of him, even allowing for making up ground after the tardy start today in the Becher.
December 8, 2018 at 20:00 #1388583He’s sloppy, Mark, perhaps more so over park fences and I thought he’d struggle to get round today. I think he has the engine for a National, the big question from today is will he have learnt a lesson or finished believing he can be his usual careless self and not suffer?
I thought One For Arthur looked fantastic and was by far the most impressive looker in that small field. The last thing I expected was a bad blunder, but the trainer feared his freshness might result in exactly what he did. He’s the one to watch in the Grand National and I’ve bet accordingly.
December 8, 2018 at 21:14 #1388617Not too happy with the jumping myself with Missed Approach, then that was always going to be the case I suppose.
I’m more concerned that he’s been over the fences now, as the first thing I look for is a horse that hasn’t been over them before, though I’ve broken that rule many times.
I haven’t given up hope, and more importantly, he could very well get shaved a couple of lbs, which will help, and I’m pretty sure that was the plan. Be very interested to see where he goes next.
Agree with Noble Endeavour, a nice run that, but not sure I’d take anything else from it, other than the winner.
December 16, 2018 at 17:55 #1389563Not happy with the handicapper after the Becher Chase..
The 5th 6th 7th down in the weights but Noble Endevour who was 9th hasn’t been.
The 8th hasn’t either.December 17, 2018 at 11:42 #1389626Agree with above. I’m expecting Noble Endaevour to be dropped a few pounds after his next run and when the weights come out will be off 150. Thought he was very eye catching and took the fences reasonably well.
The other run I loved was Don Poli’s. Had a lovely spin and jumped with promise. He’s been dropped 2 pounds to 158. Connections will try and get another few pounds off before the weights come out.
I’ve had backed both Noble Endeavour and Don Poli 50/1 EW
December 17, 2018 at 21:56 #1389662Reckon Don Poli and Noble Endeavour both came to the Becher with two main objectives and handicapper decided that in NE’s case, he wasn’t going to be let have his cake and eat it too.
December 17, 2018 at 23:39 #1389667From the form of Noble Endeavor and Don Poli I don’t think they have the stamina for the National.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.December 18, 2018 at 03:23 #1389670I totally disagree with regards to stamina on both horses.
Although unproven for both horses, I think 50s is value.
Watch the 2016 4 miler. Noble endeavour was staying on. He missed the 3rd last lost 8-10 lengths with VLR and by the second last they were level again. Trained by a master trainer At 50/1 he’s worth a punt.Don poli was also staying on nicely in a strong gold cup against don cossack. Problem with him he hasn’t got the cruising speed to lay up and races lazy. Class Multi grade 1 winner off 158 At 50s isfairis value. Beat previous many clouds comfortably at Aintree although receiving 5 pounds.
December 23, 2018 at 14:49 #1390092Valtor has to be considered on yesterday’s showing
December 23, 2018 at 17:01 #1390098I’d have my doubts that valtor would stay, or handle the jumps. Looked a slight quick horse
December 27, 2018 at 15:56 #1390399Elegant Escape must be backed now at 20/1. A classic modern day National horse.
