    This is a competition consisting of one handicap run each Saturday. Rules are as follows:-

    1. Competition starts on Saturday 6 January 2018 with the last race run on Saturday 30 June 2018.

    2. Tipsters pick 2 horses in each race, horse one is a 2 point win bet and horse two is a 1 point each way bet. You CANNOT pick the same horse for both bets and you are advised to name reserves.

    3. All bets are settled at SP and all e/w bets are paid at 1/4 odds as follows:-
    Races up to 15 runners – 1st, 2nd & 3rd places
    Races with 16-21 runners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places
    Races with 22+ runners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th places

    4. The winner will be the tipster with the best level stakes profit.

    5. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the tipster with most winners, if still level then the tipster with the biggest SP winner, then the 2nd biggest SP winner and so on.

    6. I shall post which race is to be selected by Friday at the latest and you can post selections right up to off time.

    7. Anyone can enter just post selections on the relevant thread.

    8. Competition lasts 26 weeks and tipsters must play in at least 20 weeks to have a chance of winning.

    9. All Dead Heats will be paid out at full stake.

    Welcome to our new players and all those returning.

    Well done to Michael Walsh who gets off to a flyer with a win bet on the 16-1 winner Raz De Maree while there are winning ew bets for Flyers Nap and Hot Fuss. jjharper and raymo61 also had a great run for their money with the runner up Alfie Spinner @ 33-1. Finally there there were ew returns for bob rolf with the 3rd Final Nudge @ 12-1 and also for CharlesOlney with the 4th Vintage Clouds @ 7-1.

    A day for the horses at the top of the handicap particularly Jenkins (5-1) who was a popular choice for greenasgrass, Nathan Hughes and Yahoo with their win bets and for bob rolf and Triptych with their ew bets. The only other ew return comes from PigsInBlankets thanks to the runner up Air Horse One (14-1).

    With the overall leaderboard just starting to settle down Hot Fuss leads Michael Walsh by 9 points.

    The favourite Topofthegame (11-2) proves popular with greenasgrass, Triptych, Middle_Of_March and Nathan Hughes land the win bet and likewise Steve75 lands the winning ew bet. Triptych and greenasgrass also follow up with an ew return on the 4th placed Folsom Blue (14-1). bob rolf and Michael Walsh also land the ew return with Folsom Blue.

    Well done this week to bob rolf, greenasgrass and Middle_Of_March in picking the well fancied Kalashnikov (8-1) with their win bets, bob also follows up with the 2nd Bleu Et Rouge @ 10-1 with his ew bet. There were also ew returns for CharlesOlney with the 5th placed Remiluc at a very nice 33-1 and finally for Lyla40 with the 3rd Spiritofthegames (20-1).

    Triptych continues to lead in the overall table but now the top six are now only separated by 9 points.

    greenasgrass finds the winner again thanks to Le Patriote @ 4-1. There were also winning ew bets for bob rolf, Hot Fuss and Middle_Of_March. Finally, there were ew returns for dfward, Flyers Nap and Triptych thanks to the 3rd place Vivas @ 16-1 and for Red Rum 77 with the runner up Friday Night Light @ 12-1.

    Baywing leads the way @ 8-1 for BigG, Middle_Of_March and Red Rum 77. Flyers Nap and Yahoo also land the win with their ew bet. MOM also follows up with a place return on the 3rd home Portrait King at a huge 33-1, greenasgrass also lands the 3rd. Finally, the runner up West Of The Edge (11-1) was the ew selection for Hot Fuss, PigsInBlankets and Steve75.

    MOM now takes over at the top of the overall table by almost 10 points from greenasgrass.

    That was impressive stuff as CharlesOlney, dfward and Triptych all find the 1st Attain (7-1) & 2nd Widnes (7-1) in the right order. Not only that but no less than 7 of us namely bob rolf, greenasgrass, Lyla40, Middle_Of_March, Pat123, Red Rum 77 and Steve75 also find the winner with our ew bet.

    There is no change at the top of the overall leaderboard as Middle_Of_March continues to lead by 9.25 points from greenasgrass.

    Well done this week to dfward who is the only one to find the 20-1 winner Mr Antolini with his ew bet and now leaps into profit in the overall leaderboard. The only other ew returns come from the overall leader Middle_Of_March with the 4th placed Huntsman Son (9-1) and finally for Nathan Hughes with the runner up Call Me Lord (8-1) who ran such a great race under top weight.

    MOM now increases his lead in the overall table to 12.50 points from greenasgrass.

    I feel agrieved as Call Me Lord should’ve been given the race for me imo. Looked like Jacob was pushed over the rails a little.

    Good to see four places for this combo for Huntsmans son.

    Managed a return in this comp for 6 weeks in a row. Hopefully I can keep the lucky streak up.

    WEEK 11
    PigsInBlankets is the only one to find the winner with his ew bet as Regal Flow (16-1) lands his 2nd heavy ground win in 5 days. The only other ew returns come from Michael Walsh with the 3rd placed Ballymalin (14-1) and from greenasgrass with the 4th placed Silsol (10-1).

    Middle_Of_March now has a slightly reduced lead of 9 points over greenasgrass in the overall table.

    WEEK 12
    With Bravery and Kings Gift being non runners a few of us came up trumps with our reserves as myself Pat123, BigG and dfward find the easy 5-1 winner Addeybb with our win bets. Nathan Hughes and Triptych also land the winner with their ew bets.     BigG is the only one to land the win bet with Brandon Castle (10-1) and PigsInBlankets also lands the winning ew bet. Finally, there were ew returns for Steve75 with the 11-4 runner up Time To Study and for greenasgrass with the 3rd placed Euchen Glen (14-1).
