Surely there must be a more appropriate place to insert this mind boggling Mumbo Jumbo.Or at least reduce it to bite size portions?I am an average guy and fail to comprehend the full significance of it all.I will probably be consigned to the appropriate garbage bin for my lack of enthusiasm for vast quantities of numbers.I am good for up to and including 10.

Dear Wallace do I read you correctly? You state that one race is both stronger and weaker than the other. How can this be?

The Racing post was a much stronger in depth.
However the Racing Post is generally a trail for 1m2f-1m6f horse’s as 3 year olds.

What i am saying is that the relevance of the Racing Post towards the a Guineas the form goes at the window as such. I Believe St Nick will win the 2000 Guineas but he will come up against much speedier types that he has faced so far. I have no fear for St Nick over a mile but i can see why people who are against him will use the Racing Post against him

The third horse in the Dewhurst,Xtension was beaten 6 lengths by Canford Cliffs. Can the first two improve that much even if CC does no improving? Hannon fears nobody so a thriller is in store for us.Meehan, Stoutie et al are all lining up to bet that a Montjue can’t win the Guineas.

I quiet like SNA, but I’ve been thinking of having a dabble on Steinbeck at nice odds.

Hope you like French food

The way I look at it is you either think St Nicholas Abbey could be the next Nijinsky or he was made to look good by some pretty slow beats at Donnie.

Him scooting past those who took part is similar to Binocular taking on Imperial Commander over hurdles round at Kempton over 2 miles. I doubt if you will find a single decent miler comes out of the RP field

You have to look beyond that and hope you get it right.

He’s certainly more my type than Sea The Stars was and I could easily see him winning the Guineas Derby King George Arc Breeders etc etc but I could also be very wrong.

It just so happens like Hughsie I think Canford is a freak of nature. What he did to Xtension and co at Goodwood wasn’t natural. I’ve never seen a horse travel with such ferocity like he did for the first 3 furlongs yet it all seemed so effortless to him. Plus to have so much left in the tank that he could quicken like he did was mindblowing.

SNA has only beaten the Dunlop horse who was run to short head by one of Hannon’s who Hughsie said would be a street length behind Canford Cliffs at home…….SNA not only has to able to produce that great turn of foot he showed at Donnie in the Guineas he has catch a monster and get past without getting his head bitten off

Aidan will be able to use RVW to get SNA ready for the Gs.How quick is that?

Didn’t he also beat subsequent Group 1 winner in ‘Passion For Gold’ :?:

Now I’m not saying that he will (the light blue one) win an Arc but the form of SNA has been franked – at group 1 level!

Albeit as two year olds… :P

Am I correct in thinking that of Aidan’s four the only one bred for a mile is Viscount Nelson? Where are all his Danehill Dancers gone?Does he have any good 3yo milers in his barn? Is his yard overloaded with Galileo and Montjue stock? Is Coolmore focusing on the Derby rather than the Guineas. Is this the opposite to Godolfin? Will Godolfin be more interested in breeding for Meydan than breeding for Epsom?

I have no particular fancy for the guineas but to me 2/1 is FAR too short a price for SNA but "hopefully" its weight of money and not hype thats made it that price!!

I know Mike Dillon seems to have an "in" to Coolmore but it does seem short!!

I’m sorry you deleted your dosage index posts, Gerald, presumably as a result of criticism from a self-confessed ‘average guy’, especially as you were responding to a specific request from another member for such information.
The work you must have put in to those posts must have been considerable, and I for one appreciate it.

The attraction to me of this forum is not the opinions of ‘average guys’ – I can get those down the ‘average pub’ – but the slightly off-the-wall viewpoints, which other members are at liberty to skip once their attention spans have been exceeded, and which might point me in a direction to improve my very imperfect betting procedures.

Went through the race earlier trying to work out exactly what is where in relation to the others.

St. Nicholas Abbey is the leader
    1 length behind –
    2L –
    3L – Awzaan (Middle Park > Poet’s Voice)
4L – Elusive Pimpernel (RP Trophy > St Nick) & Emerald Commander (Acomb > Elusive Pimpernel)
    5L – Poet’s Voice (Acomb > Elusive Pimpernel)
6L – Arcano (Morny > Canford Cliffs), Canford Cliffs (Coventry > Xtension)
7L – Al Zir (RP Trophy > St Nick)
    8L –
    9L –
    10L –
    11L –
12L – Xtension (Vintage > Mata Keranjang), Beethoven (Dewhurst > Xtension), Fencing Master (Dewhurst > Xtension)
13L – Mata Keranjang (Acomb > Elusive Pimpernel)

Actually using the Elusive Pimpernel/Emerald Commander formline Jan Vermeer has an excellent chance in the Derby.

Gerald, andyod only called your dosage Mumbo jumbo, there was no need for you to delete it! You have written more words on this years Grand National than the rest of us put together, thats you!Your Dosage obviously has its supporters and you should have left it on! Christ its like somebody telling me "The legendary King of Foresight" to stop putting so many winners up on the forum at huge prices! I hope you are not offended Gerald! :)

I’m not offended. Its just that I didn’t want to do it in the first place, and I thought it would be a lot better to keep it for the 5 day stage, when there aren’t so many entries. Also, I’d only done the Racing Post stuff, and my brain hurt, so by deleting it it meant that I didn’t have to spend time doing the dosage stuff as well.
