Ryan Moore gives his horse no room in a 5 runner race. Bet that wouldn’t happen if it was a ride for his stable ;o)
June 14, 2025 at 14:52 #1733013Classic has been held up on all his starts since he led when made 9/4 fav in August last year at York. Finishing a disappointing 5th of 6. Needs some cover these days if he’s to show his form. So even in a 5 runner race today Ryan was always going to try and get in behind one… And drawn on the rail; so when the Leader went off too fast it left him on the inner with nothing directly in front. Moore doing well to settle the horse. Good ride by Edward Greatrex to keep him boxed in when the leader came back to them. Just something that can happen to hold up horses.
Value Is EverythingJune 14, 2025 at 14:56 #1733014I agree Ginge but Classic broke last so could have possibly got cover elsewhere?

June 14, 2025 at 15:01 #1733018Classic was drawn against the rail, Nathan. Being a hold up horse I suspect the plan / obvious thing to do was to miss the break and settle behind whoever led. As it was – the leader going off so quickly didn’t help.
