I’m not on twitter but when a mate told me to check out this one user who would of won £139,000 if Tottenham beat west ham last weekend I looked him up, I closely watched his picks this week and after getting 9/10 selections right five days ago he got 5/5 this weekend and pocketed a cool £141,000 from a £50 accumulator. I make that around 2820/1.

I rarely (and I mean rarely) get involved with Football betting. But last night took 400/1 about Southampton winning the Premiership is just too good not to have a couple of quid each way. (100/1 the place).

(Also taken 10/1 Liverpool with a saver on Arsenal @ 7/2).

Have not had many 100/1+ bets since Auroras Encore.

    Arsenal (away)
    Chelsea (away)
    Villa (home)
    Man City (home)
    Newcastle (away)
    Tottenham (home)
    Cardiff (away)
    Everton (away)
    Chelsea (home)

Tough fixture list, will probably be bigger then 500’s after the next two away games unless your foresight is spot on. They are playing great stuff and have coped with Liverpool away, United away and the dreaded Stoke away,

I realise The Saints will probably lose out JBale. I would not take 40/1, even with them currently in third spot, but they’re 400/1. Don’t really expect them to win any of their next two matches. Yes, they’ll probably drift, but if losing 3 of next 4 won’t be worth backing anyway (no chance). But if getting just 6 points from their next 4 games would probably see their odds shorten. And unlike United, City, Chelsea and Tottenham – as you say JBale, Southampton are playing really well at the moment, with confidence high. This is probably the best time to play Chelsea twice.

Sad to say as a childhood Chelsea fan – but they’re priced on the manager, not their form. Even before Newcastle – they were winning games with comparitively poor performances. John Terry once outstanding is now a liability. Eto only shows glimpses of what he was, yet Mourinho has blinkers where he’s concerned. Cole is one of the best defenders in the World, but not convinced even he is as good this term. Lampard is a good veteran, but veteran none the less. There are of course positives, Cahill and Ivanovic, Oscar, Hazard, but the boss doesn’t want Mata. Ba isn’t getting the games and best striker currently on loan.

Chelsea, Man U and City all have new managers this season and are in transition that the market (to me) does not allow enough for. United rely too much on their strikers. Defence is too old. Ferdinand and Evra should be dispensed with. Giggs can still pass, but how much speed he possesses is questionable. Nani is a numpty. Vidic seems increasingly injury prone. They have some skillful youngsters, but Championships aren’t won by youngsters, well, yes they are sometimes. But these youngsters are taking time to gell – along with the manager. Surely too far behind now? Expect them to make ground, but not win.

City currently too inconsistent. Probably have the best chance of winning it. Should be favourites, brilliant players, Aguero in particular. But 15/8, not 35% chances for me. Prolific goal scorers, but need to learn how to defend against better teams. Only two points ahead of United at the moment.

Tottenham started well and aren’t out of it, but rely on too few players and don’t have enough belief in the latter stages of the Premiership.

Everton have one or two good players, but Baines may well leave in the transfer window and Lukaku is only on loan. Hard to beat but don’t score enough goals.

Only the two Nathan. First and second. But 133/1 for first two is good enough. First bet was with Ladbrokes, second bet with Skybet.

I’ll see if I can also get prices for a Champions League place.

Also put a tenner on Saints for the FA Cup @ 40/1 (win only) with Fred.

They give very few goals away (at the moment) and good penalty takers. Hopefully won’t rest too many players.

Barring Roma (bog standard league anyway), Southampton have the best defensive record in Europe.
