Prior to 2011 Coolmore’s only Derby winners were High Chaparral and Galileo and those came a decade earlier in 2001 and 2002. Say no more about those two as they were outstanding. 2011 to 2026 Coolmore have taken 11 of the 16 runnings with some pretty average horses. The Derby used to be the highlight of the flat season, it isn’t anymore.
