Thanks for the feedback and suggestions Kendicate, all taken on board and there are definitely some interesting possibilities around season-long stats and competitions in the future.
A quick update for everyone who took part in the testing.
The testing phase was extremely successful overall and we’ve continued running regular Saturday competitions since then. I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who took part, and also those who attempted to join but didn’t quite make it all the way through the setup process, particularly some Android users. That feedback has been incredibly valuable and helped uncover a number of onboarding improvements that weren’t immediately obvious.
Since the early tests, a lot of work has gone on behind the scenes. The focus has largely been on building the foundations needed to support larger competitions and communities in the future, whilst keeping the core race-day experience simple and enjoyable.
The good news is that the original concept proved exactly what I hoped it would, race days are more engaging when you’re competing against friends and other racing fans, even on days when you might only fancy backing a couple of horses yourself.
We’re still running the Saturday competitions and anyone is welcome to jump in and have a go. The feedback from TRF members has genuinely helped shape the direction of the project, so thank you for that.
