Dangerous as riding a motorcycle is competitively being as sidecar passenger is even worse imo. Not even competively. Someone I know bought a new sidecar and travelling home it became detached from the bike and his wife was killed. A distant memory from childhood is going to a friends house and sitting in a motorbike sidecar. I have a vague recollection of it not having glass but a sort of yellow crinkly plastic or is that a false memory. The only thing that made being a pillion on my husbands bike bearable was realising I could pop sweets into my mouth as we were travelling, obviously trying to eat or drink anything else was impossible.
