It’s not Iran, strictly speaking, that the US/Israel are fighting.
It’s the Islamic Republic.

General consensus amongst political analysts, is that the country known as Iran, has a 90 million population, but only 20m ‘support’ the Islamic Republic.
Hene, why we see opposing groups protesting, today (in London) and over last few weeks, here, in Britain.

The Gulf states would rejoice if the Islamic Republic were defeated and replaced. Worth remembering the likes of Saudi A, Egypt, Jordan (and others) have been in dialogue, with Israel, for years now. The Gulf States do NOT like The Islamic Republic, as they and their proxies have been creating instability in the region for years.

The USA and Israel have their motives for the bombing of Tehran and taking out the Islamic Republic leaders. Their agents have obviously identified a real threat, hence, their need for extreme action right now.

Should Britain and its forces be involved?

Well, yes, give the US access to our bases, they’re our allies, as we would if it was a NATO operation.
Should we be part of any attack? No, not necessary.
Defensively in the Middle East? Yes, the UK should be involved defensively, as the likes of Jordan and Bahrain are longstanding allies and we have defensive agreements.

Of course, one of the key issues, i think, missed by the media pundits and the like, is China.

If Trump’s administration wants to disadvantage China, military action against Iran compromises China’s reliance on Iranian oil. China accounts for 90% of Iranian oil exports.
90%!!
If America gets to control those outflows they get one over on China and severely compromise a China ally in the Middle East.

Gosh, it’s complicated, isnt it?

Meanwhile, tighten the belts, this aint over by a long way, folks.
