I’ll put it this way: Ricci finally got what he deserved and both winners were quite breathtaking, especially Gaelic Warrior. Townend was brilliant a few times, but also quite awful on one or two occasions.
The starts were catastrophic to say the least, with the final race being almost the icing on the cake.
The ground, the obstacles, the course layout couldn’t have been better.
Tragic to end with a total of four fatalities overall.
