Meh, Lossie was winning the Triumph at the age Honeysuckle was walking round a field and winning her first mares hurdle at the age Honeysuckle was dodging the festival entirely. They both won the champion hurdle on their first try at the same age but it was Lossie’s 10th grade one win, breaking the million pound career earnings barrier, vs Honey’s 7th. Different types of mares of course so that’s to be expected and it remains to be seen whether Lossie’s longevity matches Honeysuckle’s. It was right of de Bromhead to bring Honeysuckle along slowly of course. But I wouldn’t use Lossie’s smattering of 2s and an F against her in this regard.
