A light looking Saturday as we build towards the Derby meeting at Epsom and Royal Ascot.
Plenty racing though and the one that catches the eye runs up at Chester in the 3.15.
BAILEYS BREATHLESS (15/2 Betfair/Paddy Power, BetVictor) is ideally drawn in stall 1 in this 6 furlong event and with an all-weather run behind her back at the end of March she can go well back on turf here.
Her last turf run was at this track from the same draw and over the same trip in a nursery handicap back in September of last year. she put up a real fight that day and was only just beaten by harmony Lil, who was in fine form following a win at the track two weeks earlier. An effort of that nature would pout her bang in contention here and with the good to soft ground likely to suit this daughter of Pivotal and with maximum assistance from the saddle likely from Chester maestro Franny Norton all looks set fair for a big effort with the 15/2 looking too long.
Have a great weekend and looking forward to next weekend when our Saturday Selection will feature my thoughts on the Derby,
