David Cormack’s Saturday Selections March 14th

After a tough punting week at Cheltenham it is back to more mundane, but hopefully more profitable, fare tomorrow.

At Uttoxeter in the 1.30  OSTUNI (3/1 generally) has plenty going for her. She is in good form, looks to have more to offer and has the assistance of Bryony Frost in a race where jockeyship could provide a distinct advantage. Ostuni unseated at the first last weekend at Southwell but had run the best race of her career the time before when winning at Fontwell. Up 7lbs for that but that may not stop her following up here and the 3/1 looks very fair.

Over at Kempton OUR POWER (11/1 generally) looks the one to be on in the 2.40. Transferred from Alan King, he is now with Twiston-Davies who had him running up to the best of his earlier form on his second outing for the stable. He has a 3lb pull with Downton Getaway for a 3 length beating three weeks ago and there is a fair chance there may be a little more to come from Our Power who is available at three times the price of that rival. The 11/1 looks to underestimate him a bit.
