Right slap bang in the middle (or, more hopefully, at the end) of the longest losing streak since I started posting the Saturday selections. Looking ahead to tomorrow I’m relying on just the one horse and I think he can give us every chance of getting back on track at rewarding odds.
Cheltenham looks interesting, but tricky, so I am up at Doncaster for that one bet. In the 12.55 at the Yorkshire track, TWIN STAR (6/1 generally) has fairly upped his game since the application of cheekpieces. He’s won three of his last four (dq’d on last start after finishing first before jockey failed to weigh in correctly, had won fair and square that day though, finishing strongly for a career best effort).
He is up 5lbs here but, provided the headgear continues to sustain its galvanising effect, he would have every chance. Favourite Wild Max, for Nicholls, is an obvious danger while Magic Dancer, whose shrewd trainer has booked a 7lb claimer to further bolster a recent slide down the weights, is another danger.
At 6/1 however, Twin Star looks the most attractively priced of the trio,
Have a great weekend.
