I’m not much good at this flat game…but from what I’ve seen I think Moore has some strength in the saddle in a driving finish.

Over jumps it would have to be McCoy, I’ve seen him drive horses that look beat and get up to win. I also rate Dickie and Timmy Murphy in a finish. I think that Daryl Jacob and Wayne Kavanagh are underrated too.

As opposed to how many races every day of the week at English courses in which all of the horses are trained in England?

He kept shoving like he was paid to do – that’s all I saw.

    ‘Never gives up’!!

Call me a cynic, but just because a jockey is paid to give a horse a ride, it doesn’t necessarily mean he will.

I’ve only been to Chepstow once, and it surprised me to see the pre parade ring so close to the racetrack; I felt that the horses being led round seemed to sometimes get a bit buzzed up when the horses galloped past them; felt that it could send a highly strung horse over the top [hasten to add that know little about horses and it is just a personal observation].

I have to agree, it’s the same at Exeter too. Trying to hang onto an already wound up and excitable racehorse while a field come galloping past is not fun!

I disagree. Walsh can win and look impressive on good horses but how does he look on bad horses!!……..I’ll tell ya……..poor

I agree, both are amazing riders, but AP beats Ruby on the poorer horses any day.

If it was a class horse in the Gold Cup, I’d choose Walsh, if it was a seller around Hereford, I’d choose Mccoy.

I was talking to a jockey who was in the paddock at the time, and he thought the horse must have had a heart attack or something similar, he just completely lost it and bolted as soon as the jockey was legged up.

I was on my way back up from the stable lads canteen when it happened, so unfortunately I saw the horse lying at the foot of the lorry.

It was horrific, blood splattered all up the side of the cream lorry, with the poor horse in shock on the floor. The pre parade was full of blood too.

Such a sad, horrible way to go. RIP

I’ve been offered money to go out with someone for the day!

I couldn’t do it though, I’d have hated to take the money off him, I wouldn’t have minded keeping him company (in a purely innocent way of course) but actually being paid for it makes me feel bad!

Sounds like a good idea to me, I’m only really interested in NH, so being able to just have it for the months in which there is more jump racing is ideal for me.

Hi, I’m glad I’ve found this, I’ve been more of a ‘lurker’ for a while, and haven’t been brave enough to post anything just yet

I’ve only really been into racing for the past 2 years, since I started working at a smallish yard near me, but can’t get enough of it now! I think I’ve caught the bug!
