2 wins and a draw in both trebles means beaten by a neck in both selections. It was a turbulent evening on the whole but that is to be expected at this time in the season. Small stakes mean damage is minimal but being involved keeps me interested.
Shall be tracking Gillingham a bit more closely – after the appt of Justin Edinburgh they seemed to on the upward curve. They travel to P Vale on Sat and I am interested in the win and BTTS market. Best price 5/1 at the moment.
Nothing really doing this evening. Derby could be in for a tricky time at Pompey but 18/5 is not enough value at the moment. Lets see what teams they put out.
Only really bet on Class 2 (flat and jumps) and above which generally means weekends and bigger festivals. 2nd season flat punter and have definitely found this season more interesting/exciting from a punting and fan perspective
A big blow to Derby after Will Hughes has been ruled out for 6 months after coming off in Saturday’s match at Bolton.
He is a key player to their success and their chances in my opinion have been hit heavily.Ouch cruciate. Feb and by the time he rebuilds confidence/match practice it will be Apr.
After catching up on the team news another treble to try and get the season off and running
Charlton v Dag and Red 4/7 – After disposing of QPR on Sat the Addicks plan not to make too many changes. Daggers plan to rest old boy star striker Jamie Cureton and 4/7 is the value for the home win
Sheff Wed V Mansfield 4/9 – Mansfield got local derby with Notts C on Friday night and manager has basically said squad cant cope and league is priority. Take the Owls to win comfortably
Millwall v Barnet – 5/6 Lions boss has said there will not be wholesale changes whilst Martin Allen says the Bees will be making changes and freshen it up. I know what that means. 5/6 is value
Treble pays 16/5 with Totsport/Baldy
Hoping Aguero starts tonight and gets a couple so I can go for a few correct scores with the free bets on the mickey mouse cup provided Paddy can pay out on time. Like you say Wasp might pay to keep an eye on the line ups as some go weak and others strong and if your on the ball you can get in quick.
On the bench Nathan – can’t have recovered fully from that virus
With weakened teams this is always a punting nightmare but
Wolves v Newport 2/5
Legend centre back Butch is already complaining about getting a team out after the 3-0 loss to Cambridge. 2/5 is very generous – I would have this at 1/4 at least whatever team Wolves put outBolton v Burton 8/11
A good point against Derby on Sat and Bolton will have the edge here. A v good home record also and Lennon will have his team prepared for this
Ipswich v Stevenage 1/2
Ipswich at home – then there is only 1 outcome!
small stakes again – treble pays around 13/5 with Bet Baldy
Once I know team news will look at another bet on Tues evening
Well…well…well
Prem
Chelsea draw a game and Arsenal are a sea of blue on oddschecker with most layers offering 3’s. LAY, LAY LAY I hear you say
24hrs later………
Arsenal lose and now drift to 5’s.
The crazy crazy world of the Prem
Championship
A low key start key with under 2.5 in 8/12 games, a more traditional start with the 2 favourites taking a 0-0 in 2 tricky away games
League 1
…..is upside down
and punting wise
Just the 1 bet with my double just coming up short. An early League Cup treble coming soon……..
Incredible that Villa were a shade under 4/1 pre kick off and Bournemouth a shade of odds on. What value!! Thought about this bet but got distracted by kids and didn’t go back just before kick off! Arghhhh!!!!!
Newcastle tomorrow for me 15/8 although pound signs tell me to go for 5’s in the win and BTTS market – even at this time of the season.
Maybe even double it up with that beast Buratino tomorrow at the Curragh if it firms up a bit
Agree with all of the above – nothing punted from me but take Brighton to win this 1-0
Defences are on top at this time of this season and mistakes are limited – wait till they’re playing twice a week, injuries, heavier pitches. Much better punting opportunities

First double of the season but with small stakes
Burton v Scunny Home win
Burton won me shed loads last season and this is a purely a loyalty selection – have been backed in from 6/4 this week and I have taken the 13/10Oxford Utd v Crawley home win
The U’s will go well this season and Crawley I fear are in freefall 5/6Double returns around 100/30 with betfred
Christian Benteke disagrees with former boss Tim Sherwood’s assertion that he needs crosses to score goals.
Whilst this is true to a certain extent it’s also the Striker’s strength with him being powerful in the air. The irony of it all is that Brendan Rogers completely gave Andy Carroll the cold shoulder and ruthlessly told him he had no future at Liverpool due to the clubs playing style would not fit in with big Andy. So has Brendan expanded his game plan?, will Benteke adapt if not? and will Tim Sherwood get a life?
We’ll soon find out.Lots of money go on Benteke in the last couple of days. Can only think it is Liverpools worldwide support handing over loyalty money to shift his price
Agree with all of the above – nothing punted from me but take Brighton to win this 1-0

3 bets in the Prem top scorer market
Aguero 3/1
Savers Hazard 25/1 e/w, Sanchez 20/1 e/w never backed attacking midfielders in this market before but can’t find anything underneath Aguero who I can’t pick holes inDependant on what type of season Everton have Lakaku looks too big at 40’s.
After searching different angles and looking for value in league 1 it was staring at me at the top of the market all the time
Sheff Utd 4/1 e/w (extra place)
Sorry
National 1
Grimsby 9/2 e/w
Poor planning on my part means Im away for the Ebor festival – I’m very tempted to take the 9/1 e/w offered on TGG.
I’d imagine the ground will be good or better though with GH taking this easily. What if it came up soft? – Id imagine GH would not run. No real strong evidence that TGG goes on soft even though hes from Mastercraftsman
Jordon Rhodes on discoveration that Blackburn have turned down Middlesboro’s offer to sign him.

I’m none too happy about this either!!
