Lol Graham 🤪🤣 and your not the only one.
I bet old Willie M is ruing the day he let him go now.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Seeing these top horses comeback year after year is what makes NH racing for me. Brave, gutsy horses that we can watch as they progress to greatness. Lovely stuff!`
Andre what you said above a few posts back couldn’t have rung more true when lovely old Yorkhill 66/1 proved he was no understudy by winning The Rehearsal Handicap Chase at Newcastle on Saturday.
Bet we were all kicking ourselves for letting him slip through the net.
What a comeback.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
What a performance from Yorkhill today, ridden by Ryan Mania, romping home at 66/1. for new trainer Sandy Thomson.
How many of us looked down that list of runners and thought…
oh yes Yorkhill he used to be a good horse back in the day…
then moved on to back the favourite or something else.
Well done Yorkhill you made the change and became one of the few to thrive. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...

Thanks Graham, Andre and Nathan..over the moon with the way Epatante performed today she truly is a gutsy mare and on course for the Christmas Hurdle according to Nicky Hendrson. Yes a good substitute for BDM Nathan I feel better now.
Shudder to think what could have happened when Not So Sleepy stopped dead and refused to jump dislodging his jockey and running Silver Streak out of the race. Thank goodness all came through that unscathed.
Well done also with Monkfish Andre a nice little points booster today and your lovely Honeysuckle is running tomorrow.
Somehow I managed to find the winner of the Ladbroke Trophy Cloth Cap 9/1 but didn’t have a bean on him..still a few points in Neil’s compy is a bonus. Thought he jumped like a stag and I’m going Grand National AP route on him.
Best of luck tomorrow all my select 3 down the pan at Wolverhampton today. Hope you all did better haven’t checked yet.

Hope you’re right Andre
and thank you for nominating our Meydan Thread JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
It certainly doesn’t seem to add up Graham..I’ve just watched that race and was beginning to wonder if they were going to walk the whole 3 miles..The horses must have been thinking they were out for a gentle stroll and then surprised to find they were actually required to run..it took them sometime to get into a rhythmn and some never did McFabulous almost sat down on one of the hurdles and I thought his jumping was messy and sporadic, at the end he was eased as PP passed him for 2nd place he’s better than that.
Thymne Hill, in comparison, ran a cracking race and it will be interesting to see what happens if they meet again funny ol’ day..roll on tomorrow. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Well done Andre you were so right keeping the faith with Thyme Hill. Your AP bets are looking good and with all those good horses running for you tomorrow you could be shooting up the Leaderboard. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Just got back and catching up with all the action. So sorry to see the horses didn’t work out for you Graham and McFabulous was disappointing for both of us considering his last run.
Tomorrow is another day so good luck with your choices.
I’m off to catch up with the rest of the action and sort my horses out for tomorrows compys
Best of luck.
Thanks Nathan for your kind words about the Thread I can hardly believe it had so many views .. we must have been doing something right.
It was down to everyone that posted here that made it what it was so big thank you from me for keeping us afloatThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Great post Graham and I’ll certainly be cheering them all home for you especially McFabulous today.
Of could I would have the biggest smile on my face if Epatante could win tomorrow, with her being my star horse, but I think Sceau Royale may give her something to think about so a brilliant race in prospect.
Been waiting all week for some decent racing and like the no.8 bus they all come at once.
Thank you so much for nominating Meydan Thursdays on the TRF awards I’ve so enjoyed our time together throughout these awful times and somehow we all managed to get to know each other so much better, have a bit of fun with our bets and I found a series on Netflix that I absolutely loved Money Heist, oh yes and Mrs BigG found Roy Grace.
Peter James has a new one out now and I have already ordered it for my hubs for his tree present.
The Thread didn’t start out to end up as a ‘Social Lifejacket’ as you so perfectly described it Graham, but it kind of evolved that way once the awful pandemic started to set in. It became a place to meet up through worrying times for our families and where we could put up a few random bets which at one point looked as though you had that trip to The Masters next year sewn up Graham, you were putting in double figures all over the shop and you’re not a bad golf tipster either.
Totally agree with your Pat Smullen hero of the year nomination, he will be mine also, I’ll get some together to submit over the weekend.
Looking forward to the Meydan carnival starting in January and fingers crossed that a new Goldolphin competition will materialise for us taking us into March for the Dubai World Cup and hopefully better times ahead regarding crowds returning to the racecourse.
Be lucky everyone and bash those bookies this weekend. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Well done with your winner Nathan. Shame about Lone Fighter he looked a nice sort sure there will be better days for him
Oh well I got it right about the favourite being beaten just didn’t choose the right horse.
However thought Tulip Fields put up a great fight, she looked so tiny against Australis turning the final bend but finally Battle Of Marathon had more in the tank and came sailing past both of them. Even though I lost I enjoyed watching that race.
Good luck with your runners tomorrow Nathan. Hoping it will be a McFabulous day
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Before the big guns kick off tomorrow, just one small bet at Chelmsford tonight…
Taking on the odds on favourite Australis with Mark Johnston’s filly although not confident that she will stay the 1m6f I am puzzled as to why he would run her over this distance..but surely wouldn’t travel all that way just for the air.
6.00 Chelmsford .. Class 2 .. 1m 6f
TULIP FIELDS .. 4/1 (Best Price) .. WIN
Cosmelli .. 13/1 (Enhanced odds-best price) .. EW
Just have a feeling the fav may struggle here, as is yet to win at Class 2 level, so taking the chance on Tulip Fields.
Very quiet week but it’s all hotting up for the weekend can’t wait.
Good luck with your bets..
