Lol Nathan…reminds me of that film Cocoon..will have to sort that one out on Netflix.
Keep posting..🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Hein ..your dad sounds amazing and very young at heart..look after them both.
All that fitness is paying dividends for you now Hein and thanks to Graham I will now think of you as Hein ‘bellows’…you could probably blow that boat down the river Hein.
Graham .. as Hein says you do have a way of getting straight to the point of the matter and in a very kind and caring way.
So pleased to hear that you and Marjorie are being so well cared for and that your son in London is recovering from the Virus especially as we have just heard that Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock have both tested positive today but thankfully with mild symptoms. Your other son sounds as superfit as Hein and you must be looking forward to seeing him again in March even though at the moment we are all talking with our families via social media in one way or another.
I’m managing to walk about 2 miles a day at the moment, although only 50 miles out of London everyone seems to be obeying the lockdown and we are lucky enough to have a big garden to go out in and country lanes to wander.
Nw last night was amazing with everyone clapping and although down our lane the houses are set apart we still managed to make a noise.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
So pleased to hear that your lovely daughter felt all the love last night and my lovely daughter-in-law too..
Nathan stay safe and well with Alex and let’ s hope with everyone following Gov.advice we can soon see this virus off.
Keep posting updates on what we should be watching or reading although same as Graham I have a huge ‘wee list’ to plough through now..keep me out of mischief.
Take care everyone..Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Thank you Hein and look after your mum. stay safe.
Nathan so many mixed emotions this week it would be a hard man or woman who didn’t shed a tear or two.
When this is all over you , me and Graham are taking a trip to Germany to be trained up in advanced rowing techniques by Hein (I’ll serve up the tea and chocolate digestives ;-)) .this will help us when dashing from paddock to bookie pushing all those sockless wonders out of the way to get our tenner on the favourite before the off .
Amazing scenes of clapping the NHS at 8.00pm tonight. what would we do without them. Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 26, 2020 at 12:23 in reply to: Select 3 Horses – Jumps Season 2019/20 Final Standings #1486821
Well done Bobby (Vtc) that was a brilliant effort to win and Hot Fuss I knew you would be thereabouts and congrats for that fantastic winning 33/1 Nap Pic D’Orhy
Please both PM me and will arrange to get your prizes to you or let me know what you would prefer..and let’s hope things will soon return to something like normal.
Many thanks to Krypton for running the comp so well and totally agree with Graham (BigG) that the 1st Race posting time was a brilliant change to the rules..I just never saw that
Look forward to us all being back safe and well to restart the Select 3 horses comp soon and meanwhile stay safe and well..Jac .Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Thanks for those book additions for Sci Fi fans Euro…I was into Star Trek, Stars Wars and Lord Of The Rings when the kids were growing up and have seen all the recent movies..love’em all especially the most recent Lord Of The Rings based around The Hobbit and love all the Marvel comics films too.
Just watching The Stranger now on Netflix only seen 2 Episodes and it’s really good..similar to Broadchurch with much more going on.
After all this we will wonder when we ever had the time to study form.
Will look out for the Aeron Hernandez NFL story nw and Dr.Sleep too..didnt know there was a sequel to The Shining.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Nathan..bet your workmates are missing you and how lovely you are to think of sending them all a £20 note in hard times..it’s fantastic how people are pulling together to help each other at times like this and my hope is that after this dreadful thing has left us that people will be kinder and more thoughtful to each other.
Now I’m going to tell you off as you made me cry (happy tears) don’t worry.
Good luck with finishing painting the house and make sure you have someone to hold the ladder when you do upstairs. and don’t feel guilty for being told to isolate, because you need to and also for Alex.
Hopefully a vaccine will soon be found to keep us all safe and let us back into our world again.
Stay safe Nathan & Alex.. Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Your well ahead of me with the Roy Grace Mysterys nw, yourself and my husband Dave are reading the same book at the moment and I’m getting lost in Dead Man’s Grip so a few more to go yet but I’m happy with that.
Away from Roy Grace, but still by Peter James, have you read The House On Cold Hill it’s a Ghost Story (he also likes writing them as you probably know) and there is now a sequel The Secret Of Cold Hill that I bought Dave for Christmas and haven’t read yet…he said it’s chilling😱👍
I haven’t seen IT ..is that the one about a clown? find them a bit creepy in real life🤡 like Chucky & co., but I do like Stephen King.
Keep posting nw so glad you enjoyed the Thread .. I did even without a profit ( say no more and sadly no World Cup.
Great to hear what everyone is doing to stay safe and sane through these awful times and goes without saying..
keep well. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
I’m so glad you enjoyed the competition and didn”t pick up until about half way through that you were playing just one or two horses in your swaps when you could have changed them all.
As you say lets all get through this horrible virus and I guarantee next time you play you’ll be up there with everyone else.
Graham that is a nice gesture and thank you..I’m also certain that if we had had the chance to continue this Saturday you would have been up there in the top 10 🐎🐴if not the winner
I’m already pining for the racing that I”m going to miss this season and the friends that I won’t see but at the same time determined we are going to get through this and the only way is to support our NHS and stay out of harms way
I think Graham and I have already sorted out all the films we are going to watch and some good reading material too..it’s all on my Meydan Thursdays Thread in Tipping and Research but please feel free to add any recommendations of films, boxsets or books on here anytime.
Can’t get hold of Pinatubo at the moment Graham he’s out of school and at home with his mum..but Sheikh Mo was so impressed with your horsewatching skills during the Festival he’s posted you off a life size cardboard cut out for your bedroom…that’s of Pinatubo..not Sheikh Mo so watch out for the postie.
Please stay safe and well everyone and feel free to post on this Thread anytime you might need a bit of social contact..have enjoyed every minute of this and thanks to all for making it such a great Thread.. Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Wise advice Graham.
Dave and I are now having to take that decision also.
We just have to follow the rules and we’ll all be back to enjoy Meydan Thursdays next year and hopefully before that a somewhat shortened flat season will be able to kick off.
Thank you for your recommendation of the Coen Brothers Films and I can tell you right now a bit of Brad and George Clooney would go down very well with me.. Dave would probably prefer a Jason Statham boxset but that’s fine also.
So glad that your Marjorie is going to start reading Peter James books and I’ll never forget how Dead Simple sent shivers down my spine..guarantee you’ll be downloading more and you can get hold of the chronological order of the books on Am.z.n.
Look forward to hearing more of all your news and how things are going.

Best idea homer plenty of good films to watch and books to read
We have bottles of Prosecco left over from Christmas and no inclination to drink it…so putting it by for celebrating the end of this horrible virus keeping us all separated from our families.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Stay safe and well Nathan Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Fully expected the Irish racing to be abandoned tomorrow…I would love it to keep going but feel it will all be called off in a few days. It just doesn’t seem the right thing to be doing while the virus is spreading.
We have to adjust to a life we have never known before and I’ve followed horse racing since I was 7 years old, I’ll miss my friends at Newmarket more than anything this year but I also want to see them all again next year so I’m following the guidelines to hopefully make that happen.. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Firstly nw a big thank you to your daughter because without people like her we would be unable to get through these difficult times.
My daughter cares for young adults with autism and my daughter-in-law is a District Nurse. My son is now working from home (although not much coming in) and has taken on the daily care of his daughters age 7 and 3. We used to help out but won’t be able too now, it’s very hard but thank goodness for WhatsApp.
If we all pull together we can beat this I’m certain but for the months ahead we, and our families have to live life as we have never known it..
Stay safe and keep well.. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Thanks Graham, Tonge, Nathan, Euro and John for playing and making this such an enjoyable competition..we WILL be back to carry this on another day.
Graham .. will find you a small something Godolphin as a prize once I get back to Newmarket, sadly Pinatubo is unavailable. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
Sorry I think I just wrote a book myself up there too much time on my hands this time of night.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
