Myself and my family went to Perth racecourse about 5 years ago and were refused entry with our pic nic as they weren’t aloud the steward on the gate explained it was because food venders paid a lot of money to sell there food at the racecourse and it was not fair on them if people brought in there own food and this was on there family day were they were putting on displays and entertainment for families
It was a great performance today he just loves leopardstown I agree he would have to be up there with the best of the past twenty years although there’s been some good ones imagine the fly up against istabraq brave inca and hardy eustace to name a but a few now that would be a race
Very sad news will be sadly missed around Irish winning enclosures I never met Oliver but I was a huge admirer of his a great character and he also did a lot of charity work rip
It’s a shame this race has turned into an absolute joke 5 runner race for that pot of money I just don’t understand it
Well done Steve I read this post last week and took your advice he won well and will be one to keep an eye on never mind that Jim McGrath they need to get you on channel 4 instead

Agree with what is being posted about Gerard and Rooney they just didn’t turn up but overall I thought it wasn’t a bad performance by England sterling is a quality player and Sturidge always looked dangerous I still think England can come out of this group they have the makings of a decent team and I still believe they can go far in the tournament
I think bobs worth had a really hard race in last years gold cup and it has left a lasting effect on him and also it seems this years gold cup seemed to suit the real stayers in the race
It looks like grandouet I think
its going to be a very interesting race i fancy our connor to win from jeski with the fly back in third our connors win at the festival last year was very impressive although he will have to improve to beat horses of this class
he looked like he didnt like the soft ground for the first 2 furlongs seemed to be going up and down in the one spot
tuning fork won a maiden on first run then on next run finished runner up in the dante ran a futher 49 times and never got his head in front again
i also agree 33/1 is a mugs bet but i also would of said that if it was quoted about joseph o brien say winning the derby before whatever age when he was born and we all know what happened there
One of Mr Johnson’s more extraordinary horses, Cyfor Malta, winning his second Mackeson (four years after his first) under a youthful Barry Geraghty:

Mike
just watched this race mike i remember backing him in this at 16/1 he was an old favourite of mine happy memories thanks for sharing David Johnson put a lot into racing and will be missed rip
i agree steve 8/1 for ledger is a silly price at the moment although i do believe the horse has got talent altough he is starting to look quirky i dont think the hood helped him today or the lack of pace in the race he seemed to run on again when the other o brien horse came upside him he seems to run better coming off a strong pace i think there is a good race in him but i would say a mile to 10 furlong is his optimum trip
i was screaming riposte home i am absolutly delighted for connections seems only right they had a winner at ascot this week but i wasnt blubing there was something in my eye honest

very sad news one of the greatest ever racehorse trainers and a gent rip
having a bet in crap midweek races just for the sake of having a bet when you probably wouldnt pick the winner of the race with six shots
