Hi BB can I ask you are your standard times set for a horse carrying 9 stone, and how can I adjust them to 10 stone.
Thanks BB
Thanks for the reply
What would that be than in maths, is it as simple as if a horse get btn by 2 lths, would I then divide 2 by 5 which would give 0.4, is that how much is added to the winning time, to know the time of the btn horse. Thanks SA
Not what I am looking for in the book the Solidus were given rates tables for flat and nh.
For example Ayr was given a classification of D.
Looking at D in the rates table you would find the distance run, again lets say 5f.
Ayr D 5f = 20.1. This would then be used in your calculations. Thanks guys

What I would like is the same for the Flat courses both UK and Irish. Thanks I would like the standard times please
Thankyou very much look forward to hearing from you again.
I have seen the flatstat grades are then grade 1 A, 2 B, 3 C, AND 4 D. Are there no longer courses lower than D.
In the old grading system I believe it was A,B,C,D,E.
I would like to know which courses fall in these grades.
Thanyou.Thank you I have now got and will look forward to reading it.
Thanks for that, I did come across it myself but cant make out what it says writing is so blurred.
Does not VDW use prize money dived by races won.
What I want to do is give each horse in the race a figure for class, so that each horse gets a rating.
I have tried prize money divided by wins, but i was hoping that someone might have some more ideas.Thank you Blues Brother you have been most kind and helpful.
Brilliant THANKS for doing that, one more please jump course grades, UK and Irish.
Thank you
Hi Blues Brother
I need help I want to know what the class pars are for the jumps, can you help or know of anyone who can.
Kind regards
Thanks Bluesbrother
I was wondering if you could now help with giving each horse in a race a class rating to be used with the spped rating.
I have heard of using prize money with races run, which I dont think really works. I have searched the net in hoping to find a method but most are the prixe money idea.
Do you give horses class ratings or do you know of a method i could use apart from the one above.kind regards
