Well I for one am over the moon that my earlier post looks like its been turned on its head now.

Ive got a fair old whack on the horse I mentioned.

Selfish I know, but young Harry will get plenty of chances.

Hope Noel does make it, & it looks likely now going on whats been said later today.

Took to the spare bed with trannie under the sheets last night. Thank goodness it was all over by Lunch as despite the intrigue my poor ol’ peepers soon began to droop

Wish Sky allowed two-month subscriptions :(

Ive watched the first two tests here, every night in HD…

Robinson Collonges for me in this. I know Nicholls has made a bit of a hoo haa about the ratings given to his novices recently, but this one has really impressed me a lot. Very quick over his fences, he looks very much like a future star to me. I can see him running VERY well on Saturday…

I’ve also had a small saver on Daves Dream, if he’s in the same form as last time he must go well, in my mind theres a bit of a doubt with that though. He looked good 1st time last year, then disappointed for the rest of the season…

Big win bet on Robinson & small saver Daves Dream for me…

    Good luck all.

W Hill offering 6/1 Imperial Commander w/o Kauto -looks good value if you like Kauto and IC.

Thieves, wonder what made William Hill make that juicy offer.

I love Denman, but I really cant see him giving the weight to these horses at the bottom of the weights this year. In my mind its a much stronger race than last years renewal. Pandorama, Weird Al, Diamond Harry for starters. I honestly believe at least 1 of these will beat him this year (& wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 did) with the weight he has to give them. What A Friend & Barbers Shop are not top class, (even allowing for WAF’s exploits after Newbury last year I still have him down as a bit of a dodge pot).

Weird Al looks really solid to me, but I’ll be backing Diamond Harry. He loves Newbury, crucially shows his best 1st time out & he is carrying my money. THIS IS HIS BEST CHANCE OF WINNING A BIG RACE THIS SEASON.

If he was to blow out, I’d love to see Denman pull it off, I just cant see it happening myself.

Very happy bunny yesterday, Denman ran a stormer, better than I thought he would. When I wrote that on 16th Nov I was about to stick £250 on DH (a big bet for me), I didn’t, I very stupidly only put £100 on thinking I would "Top up" on the day. Then for some stupid reason I got to yesterday & had a brain storm that Pandorama would win… & stuck the other £150 on that.

What a stupid brain storm that was… I should never change my mind again, it always ends in tears!!!!

I stand by what I said two weeks back that is highlighted, that was DH’s race this season. Think he will struggle from now on.

I did back Diamond Harry that very day £100 win, I’m still keen on him but not as much on good ground now I must admit. Pandorama at 9-1 has been my bet today, I rarely back two horses in one race, my intentions were to have another bet on DH today but I’ve changed my mind & had £150 on Pandorama instead.

I’ll still be cheering Denman if he wins, I really cant see it happening though, even more so now on goodish ground.

What a race we are in store for…

    Good luck all

I quite like the look of Meanus Dandy in this. He looked an improved horse in the Badger Ales, & beat some decent horses fairly easily in the end I thought. His ratings rise still leaves him on a fair enough mark in this, Popham rides again & if he takes to the fences (jumped well at Wincanton) I think he will go very well.

Doubt very much he will be 9-1 at the weekend.

I totally agree with John J RE Menorah. I had a lot of £ on him Sunday from early in the week & will admit I was very worried during the race with the ground & with him racing SO wide all the way round. If he had not of nodded on landing after the last he would have won far more impressively than he did even giving weight & lengths to every other horse running widest on ground that’s not his preferred.

Even allowing for Hobbs horses running out of their skins at the moment, he loves Cheltenham & I see him as a massive player come March already.

His speed figure on boxing day when he had just turned 5 was exceptional for a novice in comparison to Go Native who so impressively won the Christmas hurdle the same day & was at the top of his form. Menorah went down as 1 to follow that day & proved it in the Supreme.

Sunday was another pointer in my eyes that this horse has a serious chance of going right to the very top.

As Ive already said a couple of times in this thread, cant see past Menorah. My only bet of the meeting (Ive actually had 3 separate wagers on it). Very pleased the rains stayed away since Friday. Good luck all.
