WONDER
WinMark Usher is a smooth operator and although I no longer get to see his posts on twitter, he is the “punters friend”. He places his runners well and is refreshingly honest about his horse’s chances. The selection ran well despite a mile not being his thing but a staying on second tonight he took a while to be fully wound up and beat all bar the favourite here The in form king of Speed.
Everything went in that runner’s favour and he won well. The inference though is that the runner up could well frank the form next time out if the handicapper continues to snooze and back down to his winning distance should be hard to beat nto.Wolverhampton 8:30

Bf and heavily smashed into 2/1 gamble failed as jockey removed hood late
Interesting upped to a mile most wins at seven furlongsCongratulations are in order Jac !!
I’ve just seen your four timer well done!!! 👍
Both thanks Dad and Fistral Beach held chances coming round the home turn but were both seen off by the experienced pottoru in the end. Boithlook to have a race in them and ran well enough to suggest a win isn’t far away.

Possibly the earliest post before a race in a longtime and indicative of “the new Sam”.
Brushing up on time keeping as it has previously been used as a stick to caricature me by less informed and friendly folk.
It’s and Bobs of form for thanks Dad and a best effort back in September gives him a squeak here off this mark in this company.
Fistral Beach follows my nautical tone and tiday I was helping the fishermen drag their boat back up amber beach. But this chap although 0/12 hasrun his two best races latest including a career best and must have a shout off bottom weight at this level now running back from thdt career best at these weights and the three pound claim makes all the difference .Ipswich 0 Saints 1
A shaky start and Ipswich are a goal down after 21 minutes.
This is going to be a bumpy ride and for the losing side a very bleak looking run in. Hope springs eternal.Saturday 1st February

IPSWICH TOWN VsSOUTHAMPTON
Town to win 10/11The tractors 🚜 face a must win situation here a draw is of little use to either side and this takes on the form of the season’s first real six pointer…
There is only fourth place from bottom up for grabs between these two sides and Ipswich desperately need to hammer home their fortress Portman Road reputation of old where Manchester United and Even Barcelona have been turned over by the only side in the premiership still unbeaten at home in europe.
With Man City six nil winners the last game Ipswich’s defence needs a real boost and the hopes for marque defender from a top six club never materialised in the transfer window.Chelmsford city 2030

Takes his nine race maiden back into handicap company here and given the last four runs have all been honourable seconds Rossa Ryan takes the reins for the first time as this class dropper should go close again here.
Sean Levy and Marco Ghianni have shared eight of these runs and latest he was touch off by the trademark timed Hollie Doyle ride on Headshot at Wolverhampton.
Having begun life in better company and running in class two company next up well behind brave Zulu he remain on a very modest mark which doesn’t reflect his potential….Hello all I hope all you’ve wished for is working out for you all.
It’s early days and I’ve penned a poem for 2025 every year we have hopes and perhaps with that in mind this will be the year.
I’ve got lots on and a book in the pipeline my illustrator is busy trying to understand and interpretate my poetry abd the truth is as always, like a song the meaning is whatever the reader wants it to be. I written for the new year simply called Twenttwentyfive….

The coming year is now here……..
TWENTYTWENTYFIVENew month new year.
No worries, no fear.
February’s soon here.
Evenings lighter, sky clear.
March can be tough with weather still rough.
But spring kicks in winters soon had enough.
Light gets stronger,
Days get longer.April could be anything.
Green Leaves on trees the heart starts to sing. with all the joy warm weather brings.May is finally here.
And with it comes true summer cheer.
Hot weather arrives
Cold weather, you’ve survived.
Comforts assured
To smile smugley,
you can now afford. This was the time last year when things were not bright.
You’d been kept in the dark and there was no light.
Large projects suspended but this month put right.
The twelve reassembling having reached half way
Another six months as June steps onto the stage.
Seven new characters each with great tales.
Heart wrenching accounts of adventures won’t fail.
Imaginations released inventiveness prevails.July arrives and the weathers got hot,
the shells across Europe all over have dropped.
The peace we had hoped for was flawed was it not ?
About people’s freedoms we surely forgot.
If it happened to them then why not too, us.
That is what happens when politicians you trust.August is glorious it shines in my eyes.
The harvest is running,
It’s fruit realised.
The food banks are growing as just like in the field,
the flowers I’m growing increases our yield.
The juices are flowing there is so much to write ✍️
I just keep on going
long into the night. Now into September the month of my birth.
Hell ! I’m getting older
It does not reverse..
We know now to live life now, no need to rehearse.
The best one of the year, your birthday month always is.
I do prefer a pint but this time there’ll be fizz. 🍾 🎂
I’ll need to approach it from a new kind of angle.
I’ve come to the point where the cake can’t take all the candles!!!October will breeze in with autumn fast coming.
The Indian summer this year is not running. The winds of chance are no longer as subtle.
The seasons advance quickly like a fast running shuttle.
Batten down the hatches, don’t do it calmly, but scuttle.November means Melbourne and deep meaningful frosts.
It’s the end now of loved flowers to cold weather they’re lost😞.
But this year alls well and it’s been a long running season.
You’ve had time to plan and fall back on your logic and reasoning .
You’ve taken good counsel sought eagerly from friends.
You’ve lent on their experience to do the many gardens you tend.
You’ve no fights on allotments no land to defend.
You’ve sought to avoid such conflict and work on development.
Your pen wields your sword now and with it you implement.
Many ways there are to skin a cat.
As a Suffolk boy you’ve always known that.So Decembers arrived where did that year go?
Its all happened so fast that I don’t really know!
Fact is we are always somewhere it’s always a month.
Always look at where you are and then you won’t be stumped.
The weather has closed in and caught us again this year you’ll need fleeces.
As the prospect of damage from harsh weather increases.
and mulch much much more if your delicates are to remain.
You are still in your shorts and your good humour retained. If someone asks you “where did it all go?”
Just answer succinctly

I’m In Love With A German Film StarHello all hoping everyone has had a good time of things this festive season.
Absolutely delighted that Big G stormed home to win the poster of the year. A more than worthy winner and I’m not just delighted but over the moon.
A roller coaster year for both Big G and his family. He’s been like a rock both on and off the forum and if you could see his wonderful words of encouragement during my “hard times” you understand why I love this fellow so much.
Big G you could not have a more apt Moniker.
Top top man!!“They’ll be dancing 💃 in the streets of kirkaldy tonight”
Probably not, but I’m about to dance around my wee humble abode in Walton Suffolk it won’t be a pretty sight I can tell thee.
But on seeing this news I’m delighted for the man. He has been a friend a confidante, a brother, a father figure and as retired officers in a similar profession colleagues albeit different tribes/mobs.
In my happiest and also deepest darkest hours in 2024,he’s nurtured and helped me in and through these times.
His intelligence, intellect and compassion are there for all to see but I know more of him much more than I’d say and am pleased to be his friend.
This year of years I’ll meet the man, shake his hand and embrace the big Man. It’s long overdue.
I’m sure it’ll be on a Scottish racecourse in the coming flat season. We’ve not discussed this at all but I’m coming mate.
Now for the dance, out of my shed a solo tango a whoop whoop of happiness ( oh my unfortunate neighbours!!) into the main house and the kitchen, that bottle of Italian Red languishing for months on the worktop has a purpose and end use after all. This is that special occasion (and there’ll be many this year) it’s been purposed for. Today is also my closest brother’s birthday (65) I’ll put a ruddy dent in the bottle, retire and wonder why I’ve woken up with a sore head in the morning.
Well done old chap you don’t deserve it,
You’ve earned it.Southwell 1945 (7:45)

Sam’s Hope is no forlorn hope either running at this trip for the first time…Good evening everyone
My time on here continues to be sparse these days. I’m busy composing and doing stuff. I’m still volunteer gardening and there are a million and one other things I get up to including gardening. Most poetry composing takes place in the mornings and below is one such example from. Christmas Day morning.
I’m going to write to you when I. Very best health to you.
Below is a poem I wrote which has had good responses whenever and whereever it’s been encountered.
It’s a nod to the past and the present and the future and remembers the parents who have passed and their continuing roles in our lives.
It’s called ‘A Wish” it’s a love poem but it’s many things which is it’s beauty the reader can interpret as they see fit.A Christmas Day poem

Felixstowe Suffolk England 🏴If I had a choice of what I wanted to do.
Christmas would be very different as I’d choose to be with you.
I’d get the decorations put up on a Monday that you’d taken off.
It would be a pleasure, not a chore. In happy memories you’d be lost. You’d never have to shed a tear, if me you did employ.
The only falling tears you’d shed would just be ones of joy.
We’d dance around the fire in the middle of each night.
We’d go outside and watch for shooting stars, and wonder at their flight. Our kids would call us everyday and tell us of their lives.
They’d say we’d made them happy by loving them and giving them our best advice.
We’d look back on our own lives and count up all our blessings.
We’d then realise that all our trials were tests, ALL of them. NO messing. We’d make the choice to enjoy life with every single breath we had.
We’d realise Mother Nature made decisions for us, and for them we would be glad.
We’d raise our glasses to parents passed and present who’d wanted us to bloom.
The ones that gave us a chance to grow and understood we needed room. It’s incredible we’re their age now and that is why they’ve gone.
We’d also know life’s precious flow doesn’t truly give us long.
We’d also know how precious are the things we both hold dear.
So grasp them now don’t let them pass for not forever they will be here. Our lives have a purpose which must be governed by what we do.
The only controlling button ultimately is the one pushed just by you.
As I said earlier,
If I had a choice of what I wanted to do.
Christmas would be very different as I’d choose to be with you.
Those are the words I’ve spoken and I mean them, they are true.
They are from my heart please heed them as I’m saying them to you.
❤️Late late jockey change for rising force watch with interest…..
