Can I choose a horse running in Ireland?
If so I’ll have Castle Hope in the 4.05 at Fairyhouse, if not I’ll sit this one out.
4 x 2nd places and a 3rd now. I’m the Challenger Du Luc of this competition!

Best of luck everyone. This is my favourite competition!
Looking at the jockey profiles reminded me of Jo Badger, what happened to her? Judging from her picture on the site it looks like she’s been through the washing machine, poor thing.
Another well known syndicate group charge £89.50 a month for a 1% share in a horse of similar calibre, there are a maximum of 40 shares per horse and the syndicate owners retain a 60% stake in the horse. The syndicates last for 3 years. Run that through your mathsometer DJ!
If I had the readies I’d join for the fun of it but an enormous mortgage has put paid to that! :(
The fact that the trainer has only had 1 winner in 5 years isn’t exactly a selling point but I’d imagine people aren’t queueing up to have their horses with her so at least your horse and the owners will get plenty of time and attention. All the experts on here can show her how it’s done! :cheesy:
Once again amazed by the variety of music turned up on here, with old favourites like Seether by Veruca Salt and Drunken Butterfly by Sonic Youth getting a mention. I’m going to give my own CD list a go – in no particular order…
1 Travelling Light – Tindersticks & Carla Torgerson
2 Touch the Hem of his Garment – Sam Cooke
3 This Charming Man – The Smiths
4 Blue Thunder – Galaxy 500
5 Ike – Fruitcake
6 Car Song – Madder Rose
7 Dust My Broom – Elmore James
8 Stardust – Nat King Cole
9 I Ain’t Got No Home – Woody Guthrie
10 Midnight Special – Leadbelly
11 Katy Song – Red House Painters
12 Gravel Pit – Wu Tang Clan
13 Gimme Shelter – Rolling Stones
14 White Rabbit – Jefferson Airplane
15 Islands in the Stream – Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton
16 Jambalaya – Hank Williams
17 Lay All Your Love on Me – Abba
18 Submerge – Come
19 Turn of the Century – Royal Trux
20 High School Confidential – 68 Comeback
21 Who is he and what is he to you? – Creative Source
22 The Light will Stay on – The Walkabouts
23 Will the Circle be Unbroken? – The Carter Family
24 Lazy Line Painter Jane – Belle & Sebastian
25 Take Your Time – Spiritualized
These all came out in one stream of consciousness, I could have gone on all night! Even then I’m not sure all of these would fit on one CD…
Well done all – if I hadn’t been getting hitched this year I might have chanced my arm with a share myself – ho hum! Best of luck to everybody for the future it looks to be bright!

I’m suprised so many people on here like the same music as I do. Mix that with a love of horse racing we must all have incredibly poor taste!
Best of luck for tomorrow!
Aah now the penny drops, I was taking things too literally I was thinking that top rated meant top on official ratings and I didn’t bother to check whether the 3 next to the horses name meant they were 3rd in a 12 or a 5 runner race…. A very interesting system nonetheless. I must say this has been one of the best threads on here for a long time IMHO. It’s been intriguing to see how the competition has developed…
