I couldn’t begin to describe how highly I regard Ruby Walsh.

For me Ruby is the ultimate horseman who conducts himself in an excellent manner.

Our Ruby gives the impression he doesn’t suffer fools glady but as Ian said that does not make him Jack the Ripper.

Greed! can’t be having that. He’s very very competitive and so he should be. All top sportsmen are and if they weren’t they wouldn’t be top sportsmen for long.

He was visibly upset after last years Gold Cup and was determined to prove Kauto Star was the best horse in the world yet you would have thought he was out having a morning stroll. Not one sign of panic on the day he was coolness personified.

I’m a million miles away from most of my old racing pals but still have the occasional chat with some of the lads and I have never known anyone to have anything but praise for the man.

The racing world is a very small place and if your unliked then everyone knows you are. That is not Ruby Walsh.

Ruby Walsh is one of the most poular jockeys ever to grace the turf. The cheers Ruby Ruby Ruby rang out at Cheltenham like Man United had just won the Champions League and Christy Moore had just ended singing the Ballad of Ruby Walsh all at the same moment.

People have the right to dislike anyone they choose but Our Ruby? As Colm Meaney said in the Commitments "That’s blasphemy that is!" :D

    I dont like Man.U either

Never trust a man with a pony tail or someone who can’t spell Sea Pigeon

I think you’ll find if u care to google that Sea Pidgeon was equally spelled with of without the "d".

Almost all of u guys/girls are missing the point, I’m not saying that the jockey with the girls name is not a competent race rider or that he should not have ambition but only that the lesser lights in the yards should be given a fair crack of the whip

    .

Greed is the excess or rapacious desire and pursuit of money ,wealth, power, food. It is generally considered a vice and is one of the seven deadly sins…….

Im typing this with a tear in my eye,did not know of this tradgedy till I logged on. I agree with all you guys/girls that he was unlucky to be around in such exalted company, or he would have most definately have won a few more ribbons.Cant just remember exactly what year it was,[maybe 3 yearsago at Chelt.] when he was impeded by another horse just as he was making his move 2 fences out and was still only beaten a length or so at the line by Kauto.
