Well, I was wrong. He was banned and fined as well. It is a very cheap fine, but at least it is a beginning. I know that I’m the only one bothered by those cheats, but it’s nice to get some compensation from the authorities.
Another fatality put in a race by a real "talent".
One winner from 140 (ONEHUNDREDANDFORTY) runners in the past five years over the jumps.
Now please tell me that this guy has a clue when it comes to placing a horse in a HN race.
Zero clue and no idea about the game. Do we need such people in the business????
You all know the answer I guess.
Rest in Peace Hector`s House and what a sad end to your life!!!What a disgraceful way to kill a horse!!!
The biggest muppits riding almost the worst and inexperienced horses in the country and that without a whip.
Admirable Duque was one of the last horses in training that should have gone another time over hurdles. Every time he ran over the jumps he was beaten out of sight. No need to have him racing over hurdles even with AP or Ruby up. But then with a poor amateur aboard and also without the help of the whip. I really don`t know what people are thinking.
Nothing, that`s for sure.
Rest in Peace Adirable Duque and trainers with two winners over the jumps in more than five years should prove that they are really able to train jumpersA real shame to lose such a talented horse. However there is one thing I would like to let out. If you have 19 runners declared for that kind of a race, please make sure that every horse fits along side each other when it comes to jumping a fence. If the track and obstacles are so narrow that only 12 horses can jump it at the same time, then make sure there is only 12 runners in the race.
I just think that this one didn`t get a full sight of the fence or was probably impeded by a horse in front of him when trying to take off. Make the obstacles as large as possible. If you you need help then watch racing at Auteuil or Enghien where you could run a GN field in every single race.
Very sad to see him pull up injured
Rest in Peace Kapga de CerisyIf you shoot a horse for 30 quid, who knows what or who you might shoot for 300 quid. Really sick and absolute no excuse to be made.
I almost thought it would go this way. The injury looked too horrific to be treatable.
Well the horse was mentioned on the trainers website. The statement made about him sounded rather cold and professional. No mention about The Last Night at all. Wow, this leaves me a bit surprised again.
To make things even worse, the trainer has had 1 winner from 29 runners over hurdles in the last five years. And he has had NO RUNNER over fences in over 1,800 days. Why all of a sudden does he send the worst chaser in training over fences?????
No, questions are only asked after the National. That is once a year. But seriously, no one seems to care about every day fatalities at smaller tracks. Especially when it`s not the obstacles that have to be modified, but the entire training regime and race planning.
Has anyone dare to ask why Mrs. Lavelle´s horses are jumping so poorly and why she sends them to the top tracks?
No, and that will never happen. If I didn`t know it better I would assume killed on purpose. Disgraceful fall and what is that horse doing over fences?
Why do horses have to die like that?
Now this kind of equine killing has to be stopped. Ban poor jumpers from the NH tracks. It`s as simple as that. And it is time to make that kind of a change.
Poor animal, Rest in Peace St Ignatius1st race for over two years and prior to that beaten 283 lenghts in just three starts under rules.
The way it jumped one could clearly see that it was everything but a natural jumper.
Another very sad loss and once again you have to ask yourself "do connections have a clue?" At least sometimes maybe….
Rest in Peace Cavite AlphaI saw the injury, but the horse still moved at full speed and ran out at the next fence. So I thought, it could be okay. However as soon as the screens were mentioned the ending became obvious. Very sad for the horse.
Didn`t seem to be that badly injured at all. Very sad for connections and let`s hope that her deceased horses finally get a mention on her website. It would be the logical thing to do in my opinion, since it is only the horses that keep the operation going all the time.
Rest in Peace Timesremembered!Appeared okay to me and AP did the only sensitive thing to pull him up. Has this been really confirmed?
Would be very sad if it turned out to be true. Still hoping for good news and surely no one to blame for his injury. Why was this poor fellow running over hurdles or competing in the racing industry at all? No form as a Baby on the Flat, then even worse as a 3-year old and all of a sudden connections decide to send him over the jumps. Why? What were the thoughts behind this plan? This is not a French bred or French trained horse, the trainer isn`t setting the NH world alight and given it`s poor form far too young to jump obstacles in public.
Why can`t connections call it a day and give up on the idea of having this fellow as a race horse?
Earl`s Bridge was not treated as a king and was always asked the impossible. Look closer at his form.
Rest in Peace little baby. This is just too sad!!!!After that dreadful fall at Huntingdon when the horse was lying on the floor and kicking its legs, who took the decision that it was fit and healthy enough to run again over fences just 14 days later at such a high quality track as Kempton?
Surely there is the possibility of a confidence booster over hurdles or at an easier track. But why Kempton and why so quick?
Checked once again the trainer`s website and no mention in the news yet. Maybe just because they don`t update it too often.
Nevertheless it would be quite interesting to know what the connections were/are thinking. Two very good points about the momentum killer and the slide through the birch.
That`s how it should be: horses sliding through the birch and not being catapulted or having some limbs "removed" if the don`t take off properly.
If you would analyse the past 4-5 Cheltenham Festivals, how many of the chases winners have been regular winners over Fixed Brush hurdles in the past?
I have no idea, any thoughts and statistics are welcome.- AuthorPosts
