“Another alternative is to make 7f 122yds the minimum distance as the draw has less effect from that start. Can’t imagine the Jockey Club would go with that one…”

I got one of my biggest win using Draw Bias, although not at Chester. I wish people would leave things alone.

I always thought the bias at Chester was low draw. When doing forecast and tricast betting at Chester is how I bet.

    HONOURABLE MENTIONS

This section is to recognize those which came close to scoring. Some might have scored with other choices.

Triptych, Chiver1987, Yahoo and myself came close with the best Also ran choice of THEORYOFEVERYTHING.

Quelle Farce had Liberty Lane as a reseve.
Dutch Decoy was the unplayed reserves of Illavim and Islington.
Torito was quite popular as a reserve as Euroalien, Chiver1987, and myself all had him.
Majestic was the other horse finding his way into the reserve list of Triptych, Dfward and Raymo61.

Finally in this section are those unlucky in picking a placed horse as their winner.

Chiver1987, Illavim and Refuse To Bend thought Majestic (4th) as their winner.
Robnorth, Nathan Hughes, Michael Walsh, John Gooch, Dfward, Raymo61 and Yahoo thought that the winner was going to be Torito.
However the closest to winning by going for the runner up Dutch Decoy was Triptych and Big G.

Michael Walsh only had the one runner, and Steve had internet trouble. Sorry Steve, however this is a marathon and not a sprint so plenty of time to join in and hope to see you next week. :good:

You make a fair point Landafar, I think the Tricast is only operated for handicaps of 8 or more runners these days. However sometimes that may not be possible. The Trifecta operates in more conditions.
However picking 3 in a field of 8 or less seems a tad unfair. I do look for the biggest field with the best class, however last season, my main picks have been on TV first as these are more popular and usually the most competitive.

Will continue to give bonus points to those having first and second, based on a free 1 point on the forecast.

Think I will include the Tricast where one is given, similar to the forecast, if you fill any two of the first three places, with the third spot being a “wild card” selection.

However I will do this only if majority wants it. Please let me know before Next Sunday.
