    Eventually after days of crossing off and putting on I have backed ….

    COCKTAILS AT DAWN purely because of Hendo’s record in the race.

    I have had another couple of bets Rose to be top European at 6/1 Berger to be top debutant 10/1 and a silly treble Westwood Casey and Lowry all to miss the cut at 33/1.

    Just to add my two pennorth (and I am certainly not condoning cheating) if the stewards were anything like clued up then jockeys would get bans everyday almost!!

    All I ask for is consistency and that certainly isn’t the case at the minute!

    Here is my shopping list Darren

    RICKY FOWLER 18/1
    It is about time he won one!!
    BUBBA WATSON 12/1
    This course is made for him.
    BRANDT SNEDEKER 60/1
    Just a hunch with this one but I am not sure he is good enough to win a major.
    PATRICK REED 45/1
    Has moved to another level the last couple of years and could be ready for the ultimate step.
    BILL HAAS 110/1
    A lively outsider.

    The only other one I considered was Justin Rose who does actually have a good record in this but I think he may just play well again without winning.

    There are a couple of interesting stats I will be keeping an eye on.
    They are most winners are within a couple of shots of the leader after the first round and top ten after round one is the place to find the winner apparently.
