Q. Why is McCririck carping on about being dropped by C4, he’s on every bleedin’ advertisement break?
I suspect he will quietly drop his threat after seeking legal advice, as for "stress & mental anguish" I reckon we should get together and launch a class action against him.

December 22, 2012 at 09:21 in reply to: Which three horses can win on Saturday 22nd December? #423847Due to us losing Newcastle to waterlogging, the deadline is put back
ten minutes to 11.40
thirty minutes before the off at Haydock.
Ironically enough it looks like the RSPCA has broken its own rules:
Without wishing to sound patronising or glib on this issue or to pre-guess the reply of The Charity Commission to the points made in The Telegraph article, maybe we should just return to the days of cock fighting, bear baiting and that good old Black Country favourite, knocking out the donkey, since if the RSPCA are found to be in breach of charity rules, animals will have nobody in their corner defending their rights.
Am I right in thinking that it is against the law to hunt in Great Britain ?
Well, if one of us break a law, no matter which law, then there is a reasonable chance that we will get punished for doing so.
The RSPCA are quite right to pursue the law breakers, in my left of centre, socialist opinion.

Himself has summed this case up nicely, if the Police and the Crown Prosecution Service don’t see what is now, in legal terms, animal cruelty and therefore something worthy of their attention i.e. refusing to enforce the law of the land, who else but the RSPCA could step in?
If you saw your neighbours dog being maltreated in one way or another, my guess is your first port of call wouldn’t be a member of HM Constabulary.
These kind of cases are very important to the RSPCA, raising its profile and funds, it was fully within its remit to take the action it did and I believe it hasn’t got our sport in its crosshairs, individual cases maybe, but not the sport as a whole.Have a good Christmas all!

Hi Jac
Yhis story is unique in as much as it is the first time I can remember Paul Nicholls being "economical with the truth", had he waited until the new year nobody would have been any the wiser.
According to Clive Smith he told Nicholls as long ago as April that the post retirement career of Kauto would be in dressage, along with hunting the most popular avenue for retired racehorses.
PN claims the descision to remove Kauto from was with the agreement of some the stable staff, what happened to the Master being the Master, I don’t think PN got where he is now by being democratic!
I’ve got the feeling that there is more to come in this sorry saga.

All rather academic as he’s been retired now Joe
