2.40 York – Maroussies Wings
I take it that when you use the term best athlete then Phil Taylor cannot be considered.
Seriously, there can be little doubt now that Tiger will overtake Jack Nicklaus in Majors won, it’s just a question of how many he finishes with.
Comparing Woods and Federer is impossible but history will tell us one day how fortunate we are to see them at their best.
Great line from a great film, Grasshopper.
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON – great horror comedy with my boyhood fantasy Jenny Agutter, you can’t beat a bit of posh totty.
THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY – Bob Hoskins, brilliant!!!
THE FRENCH CONNECTION – Popeye Doyle one of the great cops.
THE WIZARD OF OZ – We’re off to see the wizard……..
Absolutely shocking news. My condolences to Craig’s family and friends.
I can’t quite match your tipping Aranalde but at the start of the season I did back Sheffield Wednesday to win the Championship on the basis that Paul Sturrock is supposedly a very good manager who wasn’t given a chance by Southampton.
As they have just avoided relegation they will probably carry my money again next season. A 66-1 winner methinks!!!!!!!!!
From the same era as Derring Rose I have good memories of Eckbalco. I remember him winning the Bula Hurdle and on the same day Observe won the Massey Ferguson Gold Cup. I backed them both with two of Neville Crump’s good old chasers at Doncaster, I think one was Sparkie’s Choice. I won almost £100 which was a huge amount for a 15 year old.
Eckbalco never managed to win the Champion Hurdle and I think he was killed in a fall when still at the top of the hurdling tree.
Hi Viking,
Detroit City is entered in 2 races but they are both tomorrow.
Have a good day on Saturday.
Thanks for organising the comp Cormack. It certainly made Saturday’s low quality racing more interesting.

Hopefully, Al Eile will go for the Aintree Hurdle again. He ran ok in the Champion Hurdle and has won at this meeting for the last 2 years. With Hardy Eustace and My Way De Solzen in the line up he could be good value

Well done Grundy and thanks LRM for the really good competition despite all my losers.
Betting wise this was my worst ever Cheltenham with Brave Inca my only winner from 9 bets but despite all that nothing beats these 4 days as a spectacle.
The highlights for me were Voy Por Ustedes in the Arkle and also the way War Of Attrition took the last fence yesterday.
