Disappointing show from all except Lord Ofthe Shadows, which was held up far too long off the pace to be able to catch the winner.
I think that both channels are DAMNED GOOD, but I prefer ATR. Less formal, better graphics/info, more interesting features.
I always thought we should have just one racing channel, but, as others have observed, perhaps with so many meetings it does make sense to have two. ATR is evidently the value one. Why RUK has to cost three times as much I cannot fathom.

She’s killed the atmosphere, and of course it’s also not the same since Francome and McRirick left, the former jumping ship and the latter made to walk the gang plank. The one thing those two both had in common was that they were maverick characters, and you can’t have that on the new conformist format.
tried to edit previous post, only duplicated it, then couldn’t find how to delete the duplicated one. ‘Yawn.’
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that this horse was flagged up by Channel4. The ‘female’ – good grief, a senior moment, I can’t remember her name, but who cares, you know who I mean – at some stage, I believe before the first race, mentioned the fact that there was money for it and that it was owned by Harry Findlay.
These two facts were quite enough for anyone with any nous whatsoever to regard themselves as ‘bin told.’ After placing the obvious bet with their bookmaker they would then have ‘bin laden’ with dosh.
Only problem for me was that, preoccupied with several useless bets, I forgot to add this sole useful one to my collection.
